Sadly I've gone over the 2hour playtime limit so cannot request a straight forward refund. This game is a complete waste of money for anyone who's pc is around the recommended minimum specs.
I'm on a laptop, NVidia RTX 3060, 6GB VRAM, game is running silky smooth for myself.
Don't rely on the spec recommendations you see in Steam, most of the time they are way off as they seem to be an estimated suggestion compared to the systems developers are probably using.
There is no reduction in framerate when i use menus. However using that map i got from 107fps to 55fps. In a more demanding area i will go from 68fps to 44fps. So yes they can and need to optimize this. It's not a deal breaker for me. There are certain areas where's it's hard for my 4080 to maintain 60fps Blackmire for example it barely does it. So ya needs a few things to be optimized a bit. I'm already lowering to 2k res and using dlss quality and that with a 1,400 gpu isn't quite right imo. But for being a beta early release er whatever they're calling it i think it's fine for right now.

Ignore Afterburner overlay showing d3d12 as it's reporting incorrectly. It's Vulkan not dx12. And note using the map at that same spot drops me to 38fps. And i'll add that's fully zoomed out. fps increases as you zoom in. But i'm sure they know this.
It wasn't present at launch, i've tried every fix, but hopefully they will fix this sooner rather than later.
Yeah I know. Baldurs Gate 3 back then didn't do that(I assume) but they had allot stuff out of view that ate into performance.
I just run 1080p, granted I run it at native setting(so no DLSS downscaling), but I run a 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11700K @ 3.60GHz 3.60 GHz with 32.0 GB RAM and Nvidia 3080 here.
I don't really complain at the performance, if I set my GPU to 100% using MSI Afterburner the game runs at the 60FPS, the thing I find weird is it also runs at 60FPS if I set the power to 60% but without pushing my GPU to the point where I would need to run the air-conditioning just for the PC here.
