Its a bit convoluted The 9-piece tile one, the large cyclops stature, are the same way. It works, but its not really intuitive, and needs to be reconsidered how its done.

I think that once you find all of the pieces, then use them to craft the final item.
I don't like the idea of having to keep track of all the individual pieces when you move, or even have to unload everything just to rotate the skeleton. Just have it create the skeleton, and you can set it wherever, or even store it.
