This game does not have a procedural map, so that may get boring. Does have a pretty good skill perk system, which lends itself to some replayability. I like the shroud system, which forces efficient exploration in the beginning (less of an issue later on). Only applicable in some areas of the map. Glider is fun.
Both games have pros and cons, but Enshrouded is pretty far up there as far as the 29 survival games I own on Steam goes. Maybe top 5 (Valheim is number 1).
I would suggest keeping the shop NPCs static, though I let the other survivors roam all they want.
I couldn't have said it better than this.
Except if I am standing on an anthill I cant hit or be hit by the monster inches above or below me but yeah "ROCK SOLID" lol I do not use auto aim it can be toggled and if you vary the timing on your attacks you get different moves and attacks. Again Valheim combat is NOT very good just the different level thing which has been since day one is soooooo stupid
Clearly you exaggerate, but I just saw someone complaining about the same thing in this game as well, It's a limitation in this game, Valheim, and every other game to one extent or another. The point of any game is learning your limits and learning how to adapt to those limits.
That said, they're two totally different types of combat. Valheim combat tends to be slow and deliberate. You have limited mobility, and have to manage stamina in long combats. In this game, even as a tank with the heaviest armor and no dexterity bonuses, I can jump around for a jackrabbit and hardly ever have to deal with stamina.
I enjoy both, but they are two very different types of gameplay.
This.
Have fun!
I wish i was exaggerating more but fight on any slight incline in valheim and you miss they miss and you have to move yourself to the "same level" in order to do damage with a club sword etc. Its been the bane of the valheim combat system and complained about since day 2. As for enshrouded I have not had the same issues and played over 50 hrs. I havent seen that issue here personally so no idea but I can go into valheim and replicate that problem in the first combat encounter. Anyway I own both played both. Where valheim can be made playable though is the mods as for updates ugh to long and to little mistlands ended it for me after i beat it I uninstalled havent looked back. Not saying its horrible or such just I got my fun from it and moved on.
Each to his own though personally though between the 2 if I could only have one it would be enshrouded.
I have over 4000 hours in Valheim, and that is an exaggeration. The vertical arc is smaller in Valheim, and some weapons are worse than others, but you can fight on a slope. You can't aim a melee weapon up or down, same as in Enshrouded. The vertical arc is determined by the game, not by your swing.
In Enshrouded, it shows up mostly with flying creatures, but someone was complaining about bugs and rats, which I haven't had much of an issue with.
