246mb + 4.3GB update just now.

I already had the last 8gb update installed and working fine on my Steam deck, but today I turned on and Enshrouded did a 246mb patch - not unusual - but then immediately followed it with a 4.4gb patch/update.
I see nothing in the dev notes apart from some fixes etc ... but surely that's not gonna add up to the 4.3gb.
Anyone had similar and know why?

Holy crap. Just after the 4.3gb one, my deck installed a software update, restarted, then hit me with a 10gb Enshrouded patch.
Is my Deck haunted?

Steam is mis-reporting actual download sizes now more in the "total files modified" vs "total download size" ... so you may get 1GB of patch that modifies 20GB of files or whatnot. It's really dumb but if you look close you can see. For example, I got a FF7 patch sitting there that Steam says is 131GB but is only 17GB when you click over to the game and look at the download amount.

Enshrouded today was like 150mb despite reporting much higher.

I get what you're saying, but I saw all three of the numbers mentioned and watched the progress bar. The 4.3gb one took some time but the 10gb one? Man, that took an age.
But yeah, Storage Hunters showed in the list as a 9gb patch when it actually turned out to be 258mb.
No idea what happened, but those gb sizes did happen.

Ya just watch under downloads for downloading data for the actual download size.

Patches get crazy any more tho. Agreed.

Welp, I turned on my Deck today and Enshrouded decided to throw a 10.1gb download at me (currently at 3.1gb at 37mbps).
Is my Deck effing haunted by Enshrouded? This waiting to play because of huge dl is getting really tiresome.
