Have you tried crafting and using/placing one of the items with that mark?
Simply move the mouse over it and it will disappear.

The exclamation mark means that it's linked to a quest/progress and won't go away until your craft it .
I also had the same indicator for both grapple points that you can build. I crafted them and the exclamation mark went away. I think it's odd that only certain items have that indicator when they appear in the list. It doesn't really make sense that a grapple point or a chest would be a quest item. I'll have to check and see if I get any XP for crafting those marked items vs some other item that doesn't have an exclamation mark.
I also thought it meant the item was attached to a quest, but how would a chest be related to a quest?
