Just checking but progress will not be reset when released?
I just wanted to make sure before becoming too invested, the worst thing is to reset the players progress before releasing out of EA, have the devs mentioned anything about this? I haven't started playing yet but I did pick up the game because I'm hearing many good things about it.

This is a wild guess, I would imagine character data would remain safe, world data may need a reset. Though I will point out they won't release 1.0 until next year I believe I read, so you have plenty of time to enjoy what's available now.
World data seems to change on a fairly regular basis, actually. Locations where one can find amber, for instance, seem to change every few months.

Not sure if the devs are playing "whack-a-mole" with the "find X here" YouTubers in some sort of misguided gamedev arms race, or if they're just making terrain changes on their end to suit whatever development purposes and it just happens to wreck the locations of the rarer resources.
I'm just really worried if I invested allot of time into a project, aka building an amazing base I will lose everything if they decide to wipe progress on the servers, maybe they could do some kind of blueprint system so that I can create a blueprint of my base and then if they do wipe the servers I can just replace my base by using said blueprint?

So don't play on a server, and back up your local save files and game folder?
