Shield block/parry?
Are there any trick or timing to it? Is there a "perfect" block system?

Blocking will negate damage and cost stamina, so some enemies, like the huge wookie that was added recently, can stun you because they attack in a flurry and drain your stamina.

Parrying is blocking right at their attack, with some enemies like the dual green dagger bandits you must train a bit, since he attacks non stop its risky but after awhile you memorize his moves.

If you are gonna parry get the skill to fill their stun meter faster, merciless strike is good but you have to know its slow, too slow imo, so since it usually one shots enemies it can be interrupted, although i think im only having trouble with it because my world setup is for all enemies to attack at once.

on skeleton enemies u could notice the sword glowing before their attack landed. press block when their sword is glowing. for wolf I think their eyes glow right before attacking. idk about other enemies since i also just start the game but be on the look out for the glowing before an enemy do an attack
I can block earlier than the cue for the same effect tho right?

blocking while the glow effect is active stops them from doing a follow up and build more stun meter
Ah ok ty!
