Did they fix voxel/terrain resets?
Been a while. My main irritation was that terrain would just revert back to what it was. So if I made a path up to somewhere difficult to get to and came back it was reset. If I mined resources it would refill itself. Totally unrealistic and every voxel game out there can map the chunks pretty easily..

It has always been the same way, inside your base nothing reverts, outside that area everything does, i dont think they will change that or else it will be 4 hours to load your entire game world after you play for awhile, because everything you destroyed with bombs, every path you made on the cliff wall to get up there, everything will be there.

The world is made so it will reset mostly to how it is in origin (only "picked" places with your pickaxe are kept and only VERY FEW of them).

If you want to keep a terrain modified you'll need a flame altar near and the modified terrain must be inside the AoE.

There was nothing broken about what you have described to begin with, so there is nothing to be fixed.

This. :cozyspaceengineersc:
Uhh yeah, it is broken. No other voxel games I know of magically reset chunks. All of them are persistent.

This isn't other games, this is Enshrouded and nothing is broken except your expectations.

Yep, and resource collection would quickly become a nightmare in his "unbroken" version, especially for those of us addicted to building.

And all games have to be identical and do things the same way?

Personally, I like the world reset with the stable building areas around the altars so much that I would like to see the same thing for other titles I play.

Are we going to make all the games the same until we run out of choice and variety? And what variant will that be, yours, mine, other players with different tastes?

Have fun! ;-)

Its OP and insta win being able to mine anything you want. If this is expected behavior, it is absurd. Clearly some select people prefer delusion over reality.

You don't have to explain yourself - we already got you.

Video games, the realm of pocket horses and infinite resurrections, suddenly have to be like reality. Gotcha.

This is done i belive to save on performance and game save file sizes.

only having to load a few chunks that has custom terrain data saves a lot of data and PC performance. this is also why there is no water, water physics in these games kills performance.

What a Turkey, well out of season.

funny thing is I just was in a discord of people who never heard of this game and I was about to explain to them how good it was other than some quite obvious bugs and missteps. But I think the toxicity of this community it so bad, I will not recommend it to anyone.
