How to complete Sword Of The Serpent Quest after Glenwood's End restoration :-(
Some time ago, just before Mountain Update, I've decided to relocate my base to Glenwood's End. I fully upgraded an altar and make a full restoration of the town. A true labour of love, it took me many hours.
Sadly I have dismatled the golden chest in main castle and I'm unable to finish Sword of the Serpent Quest :-(
I've got the sword by creating another world, but bringing it back to my original world hasn't marked said quest as completed. Is there another way around it?

I ran into this as well, luckily I was already moving out of Glennwood to a new large base so I was able to remove the flame, restart the server and loot what I needed.

If you haven't figured out my inferring, you are royally boned, screwed, etc. Sorry m8

If you do it on another server it counts on that server, yeah you still keep the item but you don't complete or go forward on the quest on your server.

I hope someone gives you better info then I can.

I have Chillworld and Chillworld 2. Chillworld is my main world where I do everything, and Chillworld 2 is an old world that I developed a little, but moved on from. When I have a conflict like your Glennwood's End problem, I just go to Chillworld 2 and do the quest. I recently had this exact thing at the Blue Goblet. It worked for me :) Good luck!
Edit: lol, I just reread your post and realized you said it right in your post that it didn't update your quest. I'm now also curious!

It may be possible. Using 3-4 altars, place them North West East and South of where the chest would be, making sure that your whole base is covered completely except for the location of the chest. With Hammer in hand, you can see the limits of the altars.

It is not advisable to rebuild existing structures instead of building a fresh settlement because the developers have changed many locations each time they have updated the game. It would be best to wait for the official release of the game when they are done making major changes to the map to start renovating points of interest. That is just my 2 cents.

Yea, I will try it. Sounds a bit tedious, but doable and it really might work. Thanks :-)

I know, you're right. It's pre-release version and all. But still I like renovating and can't resist doing it :-D

Yes! It helped. It required 6 altars, and sadly I lost a chest with all my seedlings because I didn't noticed one of the small house outside of Glennwood is not fully covered. But still - quest done, restored Glennwood saved.
