Do you hate taming mini game?
I've had it with "stupid hard" taming mini game. I could not tame the cat, but who cares? What a colossal waste of time. Yaks, however you need because it seems that you can't advance in "Iceland" without a ton of wool. I found a bunch of Yaks and killed a couple, put up an altar and thought I'd just farm them as they re-spawned. Jokes on me, the Yaks disappeared. Even the ones I didn't kill. Have the devs anticipated this end run around having to tame Yaks? Which brings up the other question, Why can't NPC farmers actually farm. Ya know, feed the Yaks, etc.

Too bad, I was having a pretty good time with this game until devs decided to make an enormous grind.

I feel like there is something screwy with pathing, because NPCs are getting stuck where they didn't used to, my skull "bots" don't follow me like they used to, nor do any animals or wookies that I'm leading. I thought the patch was supposed to improve pathing, not break it.
I don't like the way a lot of enemies - animal one, mainly - just sort of stop attacking/defending themselves after a few hits. Especially noticeable with the desert armadillos. I hit them and they just slowly start wandering away from me as I continue to kill them.
You guys are lazy, you wont be satysfied until they turn this into a pokemon game hehehe. just a ball to hit those poor animals. Its so easy to tame anything in this game, advance from the back, stop at the question mark and back up out of range when you see the exclamation, rinse and repeat.
One guy here on the foruns even said you can roll towards them and they wont mind, i didnt know that, so you dont even need to be able to sneak faster.

I didn't found any issues with the game.. just be sure to move correctly and don't rush.. taming took only around 2-5 minutes at worst for all the creatures i tamed

Well, I did set taming game property to easier mode and was able to capture cat easily. But its a shallow victory as I'm now slave to growing crops to make food for cats, dogs, yaks and goats. Birds? What still gets me about taming is that it should become easier to get successive hearts as beast should become tamer with each heart. Shouldn't be an instantaneous change.

What could go wrong in the process of taming? Failing it once is understandable, but it's literally easier than learning how to parry effectively.
I don't understand at all what kind of whiners players are, what's so difficult about this training? Yesterday I trained 2 goats in a winter biome and 2 yaks on the first try..... Moreover, I tamed the yaks according to the task in a crowd, there are a lot of them and they all climb to eat the bait. There are NO problems with this at all! The most difficult thing was the cat in the alchemist's tower, but there is simply not enough space there. And I don't use easy taming, the default settings!
I have no issues with taming. Sneak up behind the animal when it's eating the bait. Not the front or sides. If it stops eating and looks at you and you see the ?, turn your back to it and move away a bit until the ? goes away.

To help you understand, this thread was created before the last update in which the devs fixed multiple issues that interfered with taming. They are probably happy to hear that players like you have an easy time with it now.

The last update fixed taming? I honestly did not know that. I'll have to give it a try!

Now they just have to fix everything about animals the update broke, like my goat escaping containment, my cat vanishing in thin air, my people (who are about as useful as pets) sleeping on the floor...

Mine keep using the grinder as a piece of exercising equipment. They gather around it and take turns walking in place on top of it. :steamfacepalm:

And the players continue to whine even now))))

Whiners? Are you 12 or something?
Either offer constructive criticism, help or just don't post. It's not that hard.

I have pointed this out in another thread before, but here it is again:

There is _no_ need_ to turn away from the animal when it lifts its head while eating the bait / when the question mark with the circle appears!

In fact, turning away can make the process more difficult if you unintentionally move the char further.

It is enough to 'freeze' the character at this moment, i.e. to stop any movement.

As soon as the animal lowers its head to eat again, you can continue to approach, conveniently still standing in the direction of the creature, thus again avoiding the risk of unintentional movement.

As always, have fun!

I think anyone with the Beastmaster skills should be able to insta-tame pets.
