Steam Deck Controls

How do I use the normal keyboard options for ‘alt’ and ‘crtl’? I cannot figure out how to switch my hotbars. Or in building modes how to change the size and shape of blocks. (This is just using the normal steam deck. No 3rd party controller or anything)

For me, I think I use Right Bumper plus Right Stick Click to use Alt and change the hotbar.
