When can we have access to the floating castle?

I want to know about the floating castle and the random dark castles? when do we get access to them? Also is there going to be an extension like DLC?

It's probably a ways off yet. There are some places around that have shroud and green areas that are currently off limits.
I made my own floating Manor House WAY above the Pillars of Creation. I figured it would be far enough away from any terrain changes to effect the base.

dlc before atleast awhile after 1.0 wont happen if at all. and 1.0 is not before spring 2026.

the floating castle is the level 50 endgame area for certain as the next biome is the water biome and it makes way more sense in the rather flat area in the middle of the map than up there.

so check again in a year.

i tried and this is as close as you can get right now. the red you see is the north most area of the map , but there is a cool looking little town called Polaris Falls. might be good for rebuilding into a mountain base.
