Random curiosity and some questions for a pretty-much Noob :D
I've been playing maybe 50 hours now, restarted a few times due to bugs and game deleting recipes and such ... Now I'm at the point in the game where I'm wondering what I'm meant to be doing to not be dying every 37 seconds if i leave the lower safer areas. :D

I'm trying to do Hollow Halls. I manged to get pretty far in after 2 hours, (Obviously taking me longer than it would if i knew the layout) but had to fast travel back to base to restock / empty bags etc. When I travelled back (I left a base / flame?) Everything had reset .. So obviously, not going to play for another 2 hours! and quit that. I'm level 14 i believe have pretty fair gear but nothing special, but finding new or better stuff has been impossible so far --

Loot:
* Every chest (Normal chest) and I mean EVERY chest that i loot outside in the world is frigging bombs or flint arrows .. that's it .. nothing more!

* The special chests contain gear that's worse than I currently have and i can't go to higher level areas to try and find better gear because the gear i have just fails me (I can't farm the materials to make better armour at the blacksmith / hunter as the mob levels and more-so the amount of enemies in a group are a bit too difficult

* A question about co-op loot. if I loot a chest do other players get to loot that chest also, or have i just taken everything that was in there?

Mobs
* If i shoot an enemy from a distance, you can guarantee it pulls every single mob in that village / camp. Even if i single out enemies and wait till they're on their own.

Sure I'll have more questions later on, but hopefully will leave these here for now :D

Oh and i wanted to add .. I am loving the game so far :D

Thanks all!

Chests are random, so i have found legendary itens inside silver and gold chests, but the really good ones are those special gold chests, those have a higher probability to give you yellow gear.

The first hollow hall is good because you get a survivor, so is the second, because you get a forge for the survivor, but im doing the rest just now after reaching max level, there are a lot of enemies inside since the dungeon is design for coop and not solo, but its doable solo.

Chests in coop are normal, if you loot the loot is gone, the next guy gets nothing, thats when the coop part get into the game, if you are a mage and found a good melee weapon gift it to your coop buddy, even if it is not a friend, loot will get better and hoarding it is not cool.

Some gold chests will have worst gear, but if every gold chest was a legenday people would just unlog and relog and farm the chests until oblivion, they already do this btw, loose the whole surprise and reward of finding a good gear imo, i leave it to chance, i never farm, specially in EA, who knows what the devs will add on release, im sure the level cap will be raised to 50, so every gear you have now will become obsolete.

The mobs are funny, AI is dumb, you shoot one they alert the others, and thats the only good feature imo, since agro is good but then they forget you fast, which is stupid. You can see dogs barking and bandits screaming, thats the alerting sound, its well made, i like it.

Im playing as an archer, go double jump first, very useful, a must have and low on the skill tree, another thing is i spec to tank, those constitution points gave me the survavibility to not be one shotted at higher levels, not to mention always go food buffed, its easy to keep up those.

First run through ( I restarted because I realised my character looked Alfred E. Newman without the red hair and teeth gap) I found jump attack cheesy but useful. And double jump, which comes after it is absolutely vital (because I suck at, and hate jumping puzzles). So on the restart, with a beard, I went straight for those skills.

Battle heal is a great skill, 5% heal on melee crits. I resent the 4 points I had to spend on evasion attack to get it though. Skills that increase you crit chance obviously make it worth more.

The ring that gives you a 6% chance to leach health is very useful also, albeit inconsistent. You should find one or 2 eventually. (It's A 6% chance of healing 100% of the damage on a given hit.) As far as I know, if you wear 2 they work independently. It'll give you some big heals if you are lucky, though not always when you need them.

If you aren't going melee, I don't have much advice

As to the Halls the loot is level dependent on the Hall, not on your character. So the Halls progress in level; 10, 15, 20 and finally 25 in the Kindlewaste. There is a Hall in the Mountains, but it is undeveloped atm.

Cleared areas in a Hall will repopulate behind you if you taking a bit of time getting through.

The level of loot in general is tied to the level of the region you are in; for example loot in the Blackmire is around or slightly better than lvl 15 at base.

If you are playing on default difficulty then mob 'awareness' is not set super high so you can pull single mobs from groups, but just always be ready for a party. Have an escape route and don't be hesitant to use it.

And looted weapons, no matter what level or rarity, are always worth salvaging into upgrade tokens.

Yep i went to that hall, lots of skeletons at the start, i thought it would be great, then i reach the gold sarcophagus and that was it, good to know they plan to implement the full hall.
