Bed Recipes Missing?
Hello,
I haven't played in a few months so I am a few updates behind. I placed a couple beds I had stored for my NPCs and now I can only make the straw mattress at the work bench. Did they nerf the recipes, or am I just misremembering making ever better beds? I have a nice bed with light wood and green cloth, so I thought I was able to make that before? Or do I need to use a different bench other than the work bench? Sorry, I am a little "rusty." Thx!

You need the carpenter for most, if not all the better furnitures.

Have fun. :-)

Yeah, I seem to have to "re-craft" many items to re-learn the recipes...weird. Still can't make the fancy bed, though I made it before. It doesn't show in the menu...bummer. Same with my arrows...can only do Bone, Stone and explosive. Can't craft Copper or Poison arrows, though I could before.

You need to pick up Copper Bars, and Poison Sacks, respectively... even if you have them in your inventory already. Ctrl-click to shift them between your bar and your inventory, which triggers the "picked up" action, and it should give you the recipe.

For that matter, you didn't mention Flint Arrows, or Scrap Arrows... those might be prerequisites; pick up some Flintstone and Scrap Metal, while you're at it.

Oh, and check the Hunter to see if she's got the recipes you're missing; some stuff requires NPCs to craft it for you... and now that I think about it, those arrows might be in her list, not yours.

Is there a possibility you started a new world? Recipes don't exactly transfer between world saves.
Otherwise, for any special furniture that isn't the basic 2 beds from the workbench you need to get from the Carpenter as Rhouna has stated. Depending on how long you were gone you may need to finish a quest from him or other NPCs to unlock the recipes or pick up the base materials.

I had already completed the quests to get the recipes. Seems like they have all reset. I noticed the more items I access via storage chests, the more recipes get "re-acquired." I guess I will just add them back as I go. Thx!
