Feedback on character creation and modeling
I'd like to share some feedback about the character creation in the game.

Right now, characters feel oddly proportioned — their bodies are short and compressed, with features that resemble dwarf-like proportions rather than average human anatomy. This stands out even more considering that, according to the story, our characters are supposed to be humans. There’s nothing in the lore to suggest they belong to a different race or species.

In addition, the character models could benefit from several visual and technical improvements:

Better skin textures, with more detail and variation;

Improved shading and lighting, especially around facial features and muscles;

Hair with better physics and volume, as it currently feels stiff and artificial;

Clearer visual differences between male and female body types, which currently look very similar and lack identity.

On top of that, character customization is still very limited, with few options for faces, bodies, hairstyles, and general style. It would be great to have more freedom to create characters with more attractive or distinct features, letting players design something that actually feels personal.

Enhancing character proportions, visuals, and customization would significantly improve the player's connection with their avatar.

Thanks for reading, and keep up the great work on the game.

Immersion as what?
You are not a human tbf.
Character size input only:
My only input is i find the character to be around(give or take a few inches) 6ft/2m. I stood my character on a flat prefab and used the 2m column and stood next to it, his head doesn't go past it. The structures are just massive.

Right now, characters feel very compact — their bodies look small compared to the world, almost childlike in proportions. This creates a bit of visual disconnect and breaks immersion.

The modeling is also quite simple and lacks detail. On top of that, customization is very limited, with few options for faces, bodies, hairstyles, and overall styles. It would be great to have more freedom to create characters with more attractive or unique features, allowing players to shape them the way they prefer.

A more in-depth character creation system would add a lot to the experience, especially for those who enjoy creating a character with a strong personal identity.

Thanks for reading, and keep up the great work on the game.

I think the same.

I would say it is unfinished process ..
Male vs female body is almost identical, minor changes and similarity is like 93% or so ..

You can also notice that male was supposed to be taller than female, arms are from the taller version, thus creating this weird uncanny feeling.
Or different teams did the bodies because certain texture changes dont make any sense if the height stays the same.
Or they just cancelled it mid process because different height would complicate many things ..

It kinda goes away once you start wearing some proper armor

I dont have a real problem with the body itself.
What bothers me much more, bad lighting on the skin, extremely bad.
No ambient occlusion on hair or armor etc that covers the skin .. hair would be enough though.
Better hair physics .. i mean .. even skyrim in 2013 had better hair physics and it wasnt even that performance demanding .. comparing to witcher 3 in 2015 which was taking like 90% of your fps :)

But who knows, maybe it wouldnt bother me that much if hair were casting shadow.
Outside light and shadows are kinda good .. especially now after the update.
But many light sources, indoor, still dont create shadows .. missing even basic ambient occlusion .. and the hair without it on the skin looks really bad if you are trying to make some character picture ..

Stand beside a standard size table in real lief, compare tat to in game, would you look at that the same, table meets upper part of the thighs.
I don't know why people keep saying the character isn't proportioned like a human. I have Filipino coworkers who are proportioned like our characters. I'm pretty sure they're human. The character is proportioned like lots of humans, just not northern european. That doesn't mean they aren't human. And our character isn't human anyway; we are flameborn, a mix of human and Ancients, whatever they are. We are a hybrid. The game makes great pains to inform us of this. To me it looks like an art style decision. In Minecraft you play as a block. and players just accept it as the art style.

One thing that does look a bit odd is that they have now added such detail to the terrain and the foliage that our character looks undetailed by comparison.
