Water in form of rivers and lakes
When will they add water to the game? I once saw a road map where this was listed as a thing to be added in the future but I never heard anything about it again.
The world is already beautiful but I think adding water would make it look even better

Thats pretty interesting for MMO and over 10 year old game.

Rising World is funny .. still in EA :D

When I first started playing Rising World, it was the java version. I had an issue with the game crashing after flying around in creative mode for a long while, which Red51 immediately responded to with a new executable. It seemed like he was the only dev, but after the beta of the Unity version was released, there was a post about hiring more help.

This video was made using the java version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WH27ppoNPp0

From the first minutes of the game – where there is water, there I will build a base. This is a habit from all games of this genre + beautiful view and sounds of water, waterfall, river. Fishing will add a lot of decor and cooking.
Maybe someday they'll sell DLC with a location with water. Well, that's a typical practice in many games. They'll both supplement the game and make money :takemoneyAL:

True, BUT there has to be some semblance to our real world science. Otherwise, just having a game behave 'as-such' because 'it's fantasy game', results in too much chaos. If you think about it, the game still has a lot of 'realism' such as how plants still require to be planted, even if it only takes a few hours to grow. Two-handed weapons still require you to make a full swing, before you can stop. Then of course gliding still makes you relatively slow-fall over a distance.

It doesn't have to be an exact science. It just has to make sense to a point.

Don't confuse "realistic" with "internally consistent". Fantasy requires the latter, not the former.

The fantasy answer already exists, magic.

Aye, but that was my argument, not yours.

Also, water doesn't "want" to be anywhere, physics/science determines that. Unless in your head-canon water is a living entity with a will of its own, in which case just ask the water for an explanation.

"Figurative language", also known as "figures of speech", are used to express concepts and convey meanings that would otherwise require far larger explanations than a few words could cover. As one example of their use, an adult might use them when speaking with a child about "the water cycle" to avoid having to spend 30 minutes explaining evaporation, condensation, gravity, and Brownian motion to someone who lacks the underlying concepts to grasp the overarching hydrologistic and meteorological processes.

You see, I was breaking it down for someone with such a small mind that these larger concepts have no room to expand. Water "wants" to follow gravity when it's liquid, just like everything else in the physical world. This causes it to flow "down" if it can. Hot air "wants" to be "up" in relation to cooler air, and so it "rises" when it can.

It's not that the inanimate object itself has an actual desire for things to be this way (in truth it is neither conscious nor cognizant), but that physics dictates that certain things tend to be true, and events often "conspire" to have these outcomes come to pass.

Is this a literal description of the physical processes involved? No.
Is this a way to quickly "sketch out" how things behave in a rational system to those who lacks a decent grasp of the mechanics of the situation? ... apparently, also no.

I'm sorry that my verbiage confused you, and i wish you the best of luck in life.

I was simply mocking you for how idiotic your remarks have been. My point was that your head-canon is yours so find a way to justify it in your own head, that isn't the devs job. I explained the science behind it so you would have at least some understanding of how reality works so you have knowledge to draw from. Or again, just go with "magic" if reality was too much to handle.
Developers - Elder Scrolls V; Skyrim: came out November 2011 and was released to modders in 2016. This means the entire game code is open for persons to use. The game has good water graphics and modders have added and enhanced these. There is good NPC coding for villagers and a lot of enhancements from modders.
You can look at the coding and incorporate any part of that program into Enshrouded. I will say that all water... including stagnate ponds had a current flowing through them. This was never corrected, even by modders. Yes you had to use the Creation Kit to make changes... but I think you can get by that with out problems.

Honestly people keep saying the reason no water = voxels. Could you simply not allow destruction that would cause water to move around? It's a pretty solution that seemingly no one even considered lol.

That IS the solution mentioned in the Landmark video and was used in the Java version of Rising World.

Tbf in my defense I don't read.

Landmark did have a very good water voxel in it. Initially it caused a few glitches, but they finally stabilized it. It was a shame that Daybreak destroyed the EQNext and Landmark plans. They had a good thing there. Enshrouded is, in my mind, the ultimate expression of what could have been. Here I am, and all I have to say. Water will come, we have mud, ice, tar, and snow. Next thing we know, people will have underwater mazes in their builds.

Before you go calling anyone or their remarks "idiotic" and get reported for being rude and disrespectful, know THIS. You haven't explained any "science" to anyone because your science doesn't exist here, just as the "shroud" doesn't exist in reality. This is a game.

We are bound by the rules and constraints in any game we play. Thankfully people don't often run around asking for the rules to games like chess to be changed to fit their fancy.

People would laugh in their face.
