can get farm animal meat from excess animals?

it would be nice if they did what Valheim did and add a knife specifically for butchering farm animals. something you just equip and hit an action button.

I usually go into open servers and gift livestock to random people, yaks and sheeps only, but i would really like the devs to add an option for no breeding inside my pens, i tame 3 and i want to go back to base and find 3 in there, not 10.

Baby animal cannot be killed - you need to keep them feed/rested until you can upgrade it, then it's free for attack/kill.

If you are annoying about the ever breeding baby animal like me, build multiple small enclosure and host no more than TWO animal beds of the same type (you can have 2 Yak bed and 2 Animal bed in a single enclosure, for example) and run just enough animals (like 2 yak + 2 smaller animal if you also have bed for them) in it.

The breeding mechanism won't kick in until you have 3 or more beds of the same type in a single enclosure.

they just need to make it only breeed if at least one more bed is present then animals and dont let them swap beds once assigned so you can fine the extra babies kill of = number of adult and no more will breeed since babies are locked to the old beds however there is another way only let them breeed so long as the adults each have a bed with no beds extra for non adults and dont let the babies eat food they got parents let them suckle from them also let them share the adult bed so no bed nbeeded and again no breeeding if the population is larger then the beds

My server NEVER goes hungry - we started a week ago, I accidentally left the server running overnight, and when I came back - everything in the valley was dead. Dead goats, rabbits, wolves everywhere. We eat like kings. So now, when supplies get low - rinse and repeat.
