The best thing to do with the jump pads is to set yourself up in front of the first one so that you're jumping in the direction you want to go to the next one - from there you're automatically catapulted to the hook, and you just have to react quickly enough when it comes into range.
Have fun!
but you can cheese most of the map by putting a glide point at the bigg tall tree...
far left of the map..
I have my game set to long glide and can cheese most of the mapp...
double jump and air glide are actually required for that map...
you can actually cheese glide for that tower....
what is the thinking here devs?
I simply took it to be a different civilization, more brutish and primal. They don't have the fanciful advanced spire technology.
1. Don't try at night.
2. Make sure you drink water and have full stamina before beginning each jumping section.
3. Break out the pickaxe and dig a safe path around the trunk of the tree to bypass the first jumping section, as that is the part where I died the most.
4. Skip the first jump pad by double jumping over it, and spam-jump up the tree branch to the second pad, then jump on the second pad and be ready to press E to grapple to the next point.
From there its pretty easy as long as you carefully walk on the center of the remaining branches.
P.S. I tried placing a flame altar all the way up to have a "checkpoint", but there's nowhere on the tree you are allowed to. So don't feel bad about cheesing the terrible jumping puzzle with your pickaxe.
