has peer to peer co op been fixed?

I tried playing this game with a friend before by self hosted servers, the desync made it unplayable.

has this been fixed yet?

As it is an issue of your hardware being to weak and/or your internet connection being to bad it's something you have to fix and not the game.

I've had small desyncs, but nothing terrible. Both me and my friend (he's hosting) have pretty decent computers/internet.

But it hasn't been too terrible. Only has lead to an occasional death.
