I am running 60 fps in 1440P, its fine for me.
I am able to play this game flawlessly on my 4060 rig and 1660ti laptop, I only have stutter issues when changing weapons/items or gliding on my 4080 rig.
I do not thing this is burning your GPU. Could fall under your settings or the issue I am experiencing on my 4080 where no matter what setting it is on or resolution, it just runs like butt and needs the devs to fix this issue. I have tried everything on my 4080 rig with no success.
I had this and whenever changing Weapons quickly, moving through the tool bar and a whole host of stutter. Put the game on the same drive as steam and ofc on the fastest drive you have. It worked flawless now except odd stutter if I plant a bazillion trees :) but no hot bar stutter or combat stutter.
Glad that worked out for you my friend. Ill just have to play it on my lower end PCs for now.
simple graphics XD
this is one of the best looking voxel games at this scale out there in my opinion. dont compare voxel games to non voxel games.
I run 60 fps in 1080, fine, no lag, stutters, whatsoever, but the GPU is always at its maximum. Always above 85°C and 150W. Not very good.
yes, I think you explained it better than I am. The issue you listed here is exactly what's happening to me, it's burning my 3070ti to 85*C and beyond. as if my computer is screaming for help.
The game does require like an RTX 4070TI or Super or above to not have 100% gpu usage. The high temps though is on the manufacturer of the gpu. Even at 100% usage max i've seen is 62c in menus no vsync.
Playing i've seen 59c as below Vsync OFF.

With Vsync ON as below at 52c and typically between 47c-57c.

Using a Gigabyte RTX 4080 Gaming OC 16GB. Fan curve set by msi afterburner for 35% at 45c and 100% rpm at 60c. I'd highly suggest setting a custom fan curve as i do. And please blow out that dust. And maybe in the future read reviews of the gpu you want to buy. And i mean specifically checking temperatures for a given model. Unless you must have brand X. I've always had good luck with Gigabyte. Coil whine is also minimal as well. So i usually go with them.
Also ensure all the fans on your gpu are actually working. My gtx 970 had 1 of 3 fans go bad after about 6 years. Then a 2nd fan go bad a few months later. It took 2 going bad for me to notice an increase in temps. E bayed replacement set of 3 fans for under 20 bucks total and installed them and was good to go. GPU fans going bad is a common problem. Some may stop working in under 1 1/2 years. So get a flashlight and stick your head down there and check em.
dam so something really strange happen to me
my 4070s / 5700x3D / 32Gb ram / game on nvme
often goes below 60 fps in 1440p and high settings (no ultra only high ) without dlss
and with dlss I barely get to 60-70 fps
This is normal when in Alpha / Beta, and this game is fully in BETA and doing a great job at it.
