Four-Legged Mushroom Looking Creatures

I found a group of these creatures, they seem passive. I crouched and was able to get near, but I don't have a clue what they are. Anyone know?

They're neutral, so they don't attack you if you don't attack them. Just be careful later on...

Green ones are skittish and scared,
Later red ones tho...

Oh okay, thanks. I wanted to make friends with them. I've only seen the green ones so far.
