Eternal Frost arrow suck!
You'd think they finally made an actual eternal arrow, but in reallity they just made a very VERY weak spell you can use with a bow instead of staff.

ITS WEAKER THAN WOODEN ARROW FOR GODS SAKE!

Here is my opinion: First: dont call it 'Arrow'. Make it "Eternal XXXX Quiver". It makes more sense.
Second you have two options: Option 2.1 - You make it cost NOTHING and keep the same 4 damage (that, again, WEAKER THAN THE FIRST WOODEN ARROW) and make it an actual eternal option.
Option 2.2 - Make a "count" tab on it of 15 or 20 arrows of DAMAGE HIGHER ACTUAL LEVEL 9 ARROW (higher than scrap, lower than copper) that slowly recharge with time BASED ON DEXTERY.

These options makes so your archer dont have to become a mage to use eternal arrow, because if they are to use mana to shoot ranged attack, STAFF MAGIC ALREADY HAS ETERNAL MAGIC. AND THEY ARE BETTER

I find it useful but I'm not using it for damage. It's simply there for buttons etc which are out of range of the wand.

I mean.... I was able to clear every content in the game with it. Easily beat the dragon with nothing but some stun arrows and the eternal frost arrows.

I use it on my mage as the devs won't give us an actual arrow spell. Magic really needs a overhaul. Do away with all this ammo (bloat) and gives us a spellbook with scaling spells. As a mage we really shouldn't have to have a bow nor a melee unless we're making dual classes/hybrids. Case goes for hybrid dex and str users also with needing a staff. Rangers not having a simple returning arrow passive/proc at this stage is kind of baffling. They're kind of making more work for themselves with crafting balancing and now eternal arrows.

Combat and the Skill Tree needs an overhaul before release. Melee is bland AF and it's AoE sucks, Magic feels floaty and inaccurate, Spamming Arrows gets old fast.

Why even have multiple levels of the same spell when you could just have it scale. Why does magic need ammo to begin with when the Eternal Spells exist, I thought mana was supposed to Magic's "Ammo" lol.

Yea it's dumb as hell lmao people have been asking for a overhaul pfft since i remember 9-10 months ago but the devs just keep digging a deeper hole. Making all this gear before overhauling character customisation is similar. The further they dig these holes the less and less likely we'll get these changes.

I have a friend that finished zelda breath of the wild without anything on. And another that finished another game using the least optimized things on the game. Very easy.

Its impressive that you find it 'easy', but kinda of irrelevant to the point.

Kudos to you thou. I'd like to see a speedrun of Enshrouded when fully released

I thought the eternal frost arrow could be used to slow down enemies, like the frost spells of the mage - but it seems the arrow doesn't "freeze" foes. Is this correct ?

wether you are playing multi or solo..

there is this thing called settings...
the damage also scales by level and skill tree...

the eternal frost arrow is just the first eternal arrow....
i don't know if you noticed but there is now phase 2 and 3 weapons/ arrows....

i do agree it would be nice to have a eternal quiver/ spell bag
that house a full range of eternal arrows/ eternal spells.
the take up two much loot gather space...

( the staff is wicked slow to charge btw even with 50% reduction

the combat system in this game needs balance...
the skill tree also need re-balance

i don't know if you looked at the skill tree yet carefully but only one path has a basic stats booster....

how they have the skill tree is not how i would set it up.
i would set it up so players could make a mix and match paths...

i would also set up those special battle skills ( most skill point nodes ) little differently so they don't block a path but intersect with another.

the beast tamer tree is basically perfection
every path should intersect at some point...( these intersections could be 4 node types)
single stat point (lowest connections) shroud time node boosts, basic skill points boosts( middle level node connection, and the big specials( 5 skills cost ones nodes. (highest node)

tank archer beast master

warrior tank mage beast-master

athlete tank mage trickster beastmaster

so many combos.... btw you need the parkour skills for the new map.

so i would leave the parkour/ mining/ loot gathering as a center skill tree...
all inter connected...

unfortunately it seem like the devs are winging the skill tree and combat for now...
the cool thing is you don't have to be one thing....
so i don't see why they set upd the tree the way they did...

I hate when weapons in games have limited ammo and powerr...
let me go bat poop crazy : and laugh on stream when i launch 1000 arrows into a zombies dragons butt.... when i'm bored :raft_bruce::UncleDeath:

I would personally unlock all the nodes if their was a way to do it....
on most of the paths... wand and shield...
crossbow and shield shorwd and shield
fly parkour attacks...
my army of beast healers : oh yah
10 skulls attacking you

bring it lol

it is still early access so that level of fun may happen...

I think it would work better as a talent in the magic tree and instead of using your dex it uses your intelligence. Should still use mana and current rate is fine but up the damage so it's equal to obsidian for instance.
