Do wells just... not replenish anymore? I've returned to 3 or 4 different wells for around 5 in game days and even restarted the server multiple times, but they just never have water anymore. I have to resort to killing the Vukah in hopes of them dropping water and it's quite annoying.

They do but much slower than before.
Build a well when you can. Capture a goat for milk when you can.

Yeah, I've got plenty of goat milk, but sadly I can't farm with it :( and I haven't unlocked wells yet :(

Yeah thats the reason I rushed wells in my newest playthrough. As soon as I noticed how hard it is to gather water this time I rushed to wells as fast as I could

I've noticed if I have wells inside the range of a flame altar they replenish quickly. Outside of it, sometimes they don't have any water even to start with. This happened at Fort Kelvin. I now have a flame altar there specifically to farm water.

Yeah i think its to make an artificial struggle until you reach a point where you can craft wells. Which honestly isn't thaaaaaaaaat far into the game. Personally I enjoyed the scarcity of it because it always pushed me to do other things around the map while I tried to search out for water. But I can also see the flip side of it being annoying until you unlock the well.

ngl, I haven't played since release, so I don't even remember when/where you get the wells lmfao. Plus I've been playing with a friend, so we haven't exactly streamlined anything, like I do when I play solo

Yeah, it's fine as far as usage goes. I just decided to throw my stores of water into farming far too early and kinda screwed myself. So it's not really that the water is that scarce in general, necessarily, just more so for farming purposes early on. Which, in my defense, I didn't realize there was hardly any respawn in the world wells. Otherwise, I would've been a little more reserved with the usage lol

Similar to what boxinabox said, I've found that if I leave an altar next to a well (in my case, next to the well in Harvest Homestead), it will refill normally. Just got them as a build-able though, so I plopped down three at my base and now I have water coming out of my ears.

it's fixed :) i could build my own well yesterday, but after two hours it had no water... today everything is fine. great Developers
