The update drastically changed it - one of the kindlewaste elixir wells

I'd never seen this well layout before but I have the Weeding achievement so I looked up some vids on Youtube & finally found the OLD layout but the new one is different.

There is a well, from Kindlewastes tower you fly over the Oasis area to a shroud pocket. There are 2 shroud root areas connected by a facility (you can run along one of those aqueducts/flow points between the 2 shroud roots - the far one is outside just standing there) but the first/nearest one to the tower is dramatically changed - the entrance into the well is blocked by rubble and inside is a crazy maze.

I've died 8 times trying to get the maze figured out (so I didn't have to keep running back to clear it & all that) and I still cannot find a shroud root in this changed place. After killing all the junk inside (and there is a LOT of junk - red bugs that pop up, knights, archers, etc.)

It is a really nasty maze filled with jumps & collapsed areas - nothing like it used to be - and I CANNOT find the shroud root in this new layout. Also, once you clear enough rubble to fall in, you cannot climb back out that entrance so no "run back, recharge outside & go back in". There's no way to get back up top (I don't know what happens if/when you find the shroud root)...

Again, it is dramatically changed from what it was and I couldn't find a shroud root inside it, but there is a pointer to one on the map...

I guess you are talking about this elixir well which I marked with a sword - meaning: don't go there ever again.

They have changed this already with the third update.
The shroud root was located to the east, maybe a bit south-east. Almost at the map border, next to red shroud.
I didn't check after fourth update, if it's still there.

I'll check again later. I've a few things to do and had to give up but thanks for the pointer. I feel kind of bad for the newer players - I'm conversant with the mechanics of this game and this spot is really bad.

Found and finished it to Silent Warrior - you were right, it was South East. The distance is HUGE and no, there is no way out but to fast travel somewhere else so it seems built to die until you get lucky and figure it out.

Tip: There is a rubble wall at the end of the run blocking the way with some red barrels on it. Shoot the barrels to open the way to the Shroud Root. There is a Sickle-Sythe in the way and it's a wrap around path to get up to the root. Hint: Bring Explosive Arrows. You can shoot the root as soon as you can see it and that makes the area breathable. I managed it with 30 seconds left from there.

Rubble is always suspicious especially if it has explosive in it. There is a nearly 100% chance that something is hidden there.

Good thread. Just wanted to start the same one myself. Also couldn't find the root so far. Will try again later..

Edit: found the root - cheating using above infos: I ran to the embayment of the lava area in the southeast of the well entrance over land and dug my way in. Just had to kill a banshee, no other foes there. Also a nice chest near the root. Only be careful to not fall into lava when you dig in. Needs some luck too, I guess.

This was the hardest well until the mountains were added. You can actually do it rather quickly; dig, drop and then glide all the way to the bottom rubble wall.

After a death or two I figured I had nothing to lose by gliding to the bottom and it worked out rather nicely.
