changes to the shroud in the mtns?

I just took out the shroud root in the marble quarry, but the shroud around it did not clear afterwards. Luckily it was an easy run back out. : P
Is this a game-wide change, or just to the mountain biome?

I think it is a bug, because other ones work normal.
