Not keen on the new update, kind of annoying changes. Don't like the new map icons, really don't like wandering NPCs (but at least you can toggle this off in the most clunky way they could have thought of), and why do I have to assign individual beds with the staff instead of having a simple interface on the bed itself or in a different menu? Seems like they went with the clunkiest options for all of this unnecessary fluff.
Y'all gotta stop changing things that don't need to be changed...
That's good, but you need the staff to assign beds. I don't even know why they've implemented these things. It's like they just added a bunch of annoyances to the game that don't bring any actual benefit or fun to the game at all.
Angry? Nah. Somewhat annoyed? Yeah.
Sure, some folks wanted it but the upvote site doesn't reflect the entire community, only the small fraction that goes there to vote on things. Anyway, I didn't vote for it, and wouldn't have.
I really don't care that they did not move because they do 2 things - provide quests and crafting options. That's their only use, moving around doesn't benefit me at all, doesn't add anything to the game. Them wandering around means we have to run around looking for the right one when we need to craft specific items that only they can make and we never know exactly where they will be. They also block doorways requiring you to slowly push them out of the way, and from what I've seen so far they generally just get in the way while wandering and make a nuisance of themselves.
In my mind it was a needless change, but since they decided to do it the right move would have been to set the default wander distance to zero, not 10m, so people who had the crafters where they wanted them wouldn't have to go to each one, set them to no wander distance, and then place them back where they were again. It's a minor issue, but it's still an issue that could (and should) have been avoided.
Side note - Conan Exiles added NPC wandering recently, too, and it's been a disaster. At least in Keen's case it's just a bit annoying... and they'll probably fix the issues soon.
