Initial Impressions and a thanks to the Devs
If a Dev happens to visit here and read this I just want to say, 'Well done!'. From the small QoL things like improved map icons to the immersive things like glider turbulence and weather (liking the debuff too; Should I explore in the rain or play my lute by the fire until the storm passes?) to the really big things like an entire new region.

It also seems some 'questionably' functional perks, at least in my experience, are working quite well now (Counterstrike being one). Even the new quest lines in the 'old lands' are nice and have kept me so busy I have yet to get far into the mountains.

The continuation of the lore and the lore tie ins to some of the quests is greatly appreciated as well from this lore nerd.

There are some rough edges to be polished like NPC wander and I am sure that will come in time, but just an outstanding update overall. And I am sure I have just scratched the surface of it all.

Good exploring to all!

(I posted this on the Discord as well, just in case)

The developers' decision to remove the harmless Easter egg of the "Screaming House" still bothers me. It was a small detail, yet its absence leaves a strange void ...

I started a totally new game and wow, are there changes. Very interesting stuff.

You need to have 2 followers, with assigned beds for them, to upgrade your flame beyond the first upgrade.

I used to smash all the cots in the tents you'd find to get metal bits - they don't drop metal anymore at all.

Bee hives can have a lot more bees in them than I'd ever seen before - can, not always do but can.

Near a flint mine (you get the quest to visit), near but before going through the first savages' camp heading for the spire, was a wolf's den - it's gone.

In the upper area, past the first flint mine area - oh, the archer was removed from that camp (wolf is still there) but after going through the savages camp up there (with 2 guys & a dog, with the flint mind with all the rubble & explosives around it) - there was a small patch of mist with (usually) a shroud archer there. It's gone, replaced by a "hole in the ground" mine...

Lots of little changes to all sorts of things.

While using the summoning wand/staff, you can set the distance the NPCs roam. I got tired of them blocking the doors. Hold the staff in your hand, hit TAB (PC), select the NPC, Under their name is a setting to adjust their roaming. I set mine to none and put them in a place out of the way.
