Obvious first one is the quest line.
Then we have the lore. If you are into the story of the universe, you can travel around and discover pages at POIs that contain little stories from before the Shroud came. There are several locations that lie somewhat remotely. Most often each story is 2-3 pages you have to find.
There is the possibility to spend some time trying to find the legendariy gear of the game, since it has a low spawn rate.
And then there are some hidden chests / tombs that you can hunt for. Found 3 so far, but there are probably more.
The ultimate "end game" for my part is building and detailing my base. I find it relaxing to spent some time doing that. There are quite a few interesting locations to set up, and you have to farm mats for doing that.
As for replayability, you have a skill tree that offers 8 destinct directions to shape you character, but you can also combine these. So you could play the game as a warrior in one play through and then try it out as a caster or archer in another.
You can also choose to spawn that new character into the same world, retaining your base instead of starting over completely.
gonna take you around 2 days to farm what you get best in slot gears, then wait for future update or keep building your base lol
enemies there are lv 30, loot is lv25 as is max player lv.
max craftable gear is lv23. so you have to farm that area for actual max gear.
The thing in capital city seems to be the only actual boss thus far.
meaning with an cheese protected arena and CC abilities.
other than farming max gear, endgame currently is build awesome houses. :D
This.
Like Minecraft: Building is the endgame. Leveling, questing, grinding, loot things end at some point (it is not a mmorpg) - but building stays forever!
You want "endgame" go play a mmorpgs, race through progression, hit endgame which is just boring raids and pvp, and then complain there is nothing to do in game.
This is how I view people who seek an "endgame", just people who want to race though the game so they can complain there is nothing to do.
You could do that, or you could just play normally.
Now, I do like the mid wyvern fight. no way to "cheese" it (at least from what I have found) unlike other battles, you cannot snipe it from 50 meters away. that was cool.
When you finish the Early Access Quest line, you can go finish all the side quests (which is a lot) and build your base.
I am personally LOVING building my mountain base.
This is a very, very weird take. Asking for / desiring an end-game loop in an open-world game isn't that uncommon of an ask. Enshrouded would get a big win by having extremely rare chase uniques, bosses, dungeons.
I've been playing Grim Dawn since it came out - without mods - and still greatly enjoy the chase of hunting the perfect-rolled gear I want for a given character.
Is getting level 25-28 armor sets, getting the +1 to all stat rings, and level 25 legendary weapons of each type (plus the ONE level 30 staff, and level 30 stone shield drop)
Otherwise if you are a BIG builder, building your perfect home, castle, city, etc...
