Why are Iron Double Doors 9 wide?

Everything snaps to 8 wide, all the other double doors included...

What on earth could the reasoning be? ...besides to make someone like me go insane?

I must avoid iron doors unless i plan to build a whole new base around them :(

I have the same issue with iron double doors. They look great, but they are obnoxiously off-center, making them undesirable in any location that I want to put double doors.

now I have the same issues with the copper and wood double door too.
Before the update they can align with 8 blocks wide, now they snap with an wrong alignment.
I had placed some right aligned copper double doors and when I try to set it again it does not snap in the previously right alignment.

Mine where inline removed them now i can't get them back wasnted 80 hours to have messed up doors think i will unistall the game pretty pissed off

But reacting exaggeratedly because of this and freaking out is actually the wrong thing to do I believe :-D
