The workaround for this players was to trigger the quest with another char or invite someone else into your world.
In my own world this helped as well in such a situation. I could never get the dialogue with the collector I needed to continue his quest. Only after I entered this world with another char, he was willing to talk to me and gave me the quest.
But when I understand right you're missing one lore page or recipe ?
As mentioned, the solution is to complete the quest (or at least the missing step) with a character that hasn't done so yet.
Yes, the first two steps are white -- meaning from what i seen in other quests are complete, while the third step still says 'recipe not found'.
I did complete this quest on a coop mode with a another player. They got credit and the quest completed. I too was getting the visual cues on the screen but somehow it didn't complete. I only noticed when i went back to solo play that it was outstanding.
The person i was playing with came into coop on my session on Monday and helped get some items that did not show up for me. I counted this as a second completion of the hall.
last night was me just doing it solo so i could take time to bust everything and find all chests and hidden doors. Down the bosses...still nothing. Only difference is, i was able to make the kindelwaste hall key from the collector.
You think if i hop back into the person's server if they host a game again, that the quest would be completed for me if i talk to the collector?
Or, am i going to have to spin up a new character to somehow get this completed with my current main character?
maybe an option to drop a quest so a person can pick it up and do it fresh could be an option -- hint devs?
In case the collector refuses to give you the next goal and location: you can craft the key, then go there on your own and finish the dungeons without a quest.
You'll miss some dialogues and maybey some sentences in your questlog, but that's all about it. The items and recipes you can pick up without to have a quest for it.
Other solution is to invite another player to talk with your NPC, it doesn't need to be your own char. This is "hit and miss", I have no idea why some of my chars can trigger the correct dialogue, and other chars at exact the same point don't get it.
This seems this is a bug. I did the same as you TWICE!
I asked a friend to create a new account and hop into my game, this unlocked the next quest, but the old one is still open. Well I have to live with that, as long as it does not hinder the progress... placed an altar infront of the second dungeeon yesterday, so this is my next solo project, already finished in a group... hope this will go smoothly.
