critchance and critdmg are actually far stronger than + base dmg by default if you can achieve a decent critchance. so is elemental dmg vs the right target.
thus there is no overall BEST weapon in this game by default. you can stack health regen alot higher aswell. +2 regen is actually rather bad as a bonus on a WEAPON overall.
I was sharing my experience. I certainly have not tried every weapon in the game, but I've tried quite a few. This was the first legendary, level 25 weapon (not counting bows) where my hunter did noticeably better all around in encounters across the game world using almost no health pots. Yes, I also have specialty weapons for specific mobs, but so far this is the best weapon for my hunter to switch to when the bow is not appropriate, which was my point in the post. My title's first word is Perhaps. The body of the post was about my experience. I'm sorry you read it as an argument. lol
Where did it drop for you if you don't mind me asking?
Thank you for sharing the tails of your adventures.

I have used quite a few legendary swords and axes with all the upgrades in the crit/damage categories. This sword took me by surprise in that the heal (combined with my other heals) really allows me to go out explore, gather resources or whatever and just keep going. So I thought I'd put it out there for others to try out and see what they think.
Awesome! Thank you!!!
Stats only paint half a picture, they never take the player into account and its the two coming together that determines what is better or not. Back in WOTLK when gearscore came into wow and players sneered at the lower gearscore other had due to using what were best in slot trinkets. While others would use the welfare epics from pvp to get raid or dungeon spots and be next to useless. Context or situation are harder to boil down to a number no matter how deep into the cult of meta you are.
Stacking health regen, but ignore health regen that could be included in the stack. Seems slightly contradictory. Can't recall the game but I know in the past I've had a gear sets specifically for getting health back fast or back up weapons aimed for doing the same thing in combat.

And this bejeweled gold chest at the southernmost perimeter of the map that is likewise blessed with level 25 legendary content - all subject to rng of course.

The game still allows a fairly determined level 15 player that may be stuck with King Gormander in the capital to skirt the edge of the map to get to either of these chests and come back with level 30 gear to fight the wispwyvern. It's a great game. Enjoy it as you see fit.
