I'm SORRY, But the Hollow Halls are a Waste of Time
First one not bad .. about an hour
2nd one Terrible .. 3+ hours and trash for loot _ 1 uncommon, rest common
3rd one Worst .. 4 hours and same loot as 2nd, but 1 rare _ And I existed out, back to Base. (Did not finish it, in the room with 10+ locks to undo)

If the Loot was good .. compared to what you have to do and explore just to get through the different stages and fight .. maybe ........ But you open a good chest and get boots lower than you are already wearing or it's Common and not even rare .. It's just not worth my time.

I Hope they Re-balance Loot more on the next Update, because right now the loot sucks.

I Love the game and building .. I know "YES" It's EA .. Just But :steamsad:

+1 I have stopped playing the game since my second Hollow Halls run. Found it boring and unrewarding.

However, you proved it can be done alone. You managed what so many others have said was garbage. You alone, managed to get through it all. Wow, that makes you special in so many ways! OMG! this is early access. One run through of the entire 30% map run through should reward a golden EGG! OMG. come with me and you see a world of pure imagination... etc.. Wonderful. A game not fully finished but here for your amusement at the whopping price of 25 dollars. Over 100 hours truly of entertainment at the cost of 6.25cents every 25 hours.. Amazing and you complain.

Bone Channel is freakin' awesome. Definitely worth the effort to get that. Shhhh: don't tell the devs, or they'll nerf it. It's awesome against sicklescythe and vultures and the dudes with tower shields. So the first two halls, which I've done alone, were definitely worthwhile.

Due to all the feedback on loot, I suspect the Halls will get a rework on loot. It should be noted however that the Halls are a good place to gather resources. I smash every vase all the way through and come out with every slot filled with full stacks of whatever.

There has to be an incentive to do it, otherwise there are any number of things in game to do that are more fun and interesting. Currently the loot sucks. Maybe collectible stuff for your house, vanity clothing or armor/weapon sets. As it stands now it's just tedious.

I'm nowhere near the newer content, but I do get the "a good chest should reward something good" or "after solving this tricky puzzle, there's got to be something good in this chest" critiques. From a lockpicked chest I'd at least like something that depending on my progress would be hard to get. Loot balance is really something they should look into, it so far is a let down :/

They are worth doing one time only for the building block recipes (if youre into building) and the new blunt dmg spells & arrows (if youre not a full melee build) and definitely the new skull bomb thingy things.
BUT imo the actual reward loot, you know the shiny box after a hard boss fight, is insulting and near infuriating. lvl 23 common armor or weapons w/ buffs that are only good in the Halls. It's insane! Spend hours+ grinding through this mosh pit only to receive scrap. F that shat!

First time through it is slow, next times it is much much faster. You don't have to kill everything or loot anything on the way, that is what slows it down.

Agree with this; its too bad the only decent loot (by level) is really in Kindlewastes, and that half your weapon bonuses are specifically good only for Hallow runs. Clearly we shouldnt be doing this for weapon farming... I guess it will come in handy for FUTURE Hallows, but after the "need to find 12 special globes to open one door" puzzles, or the "fly for 5 minutes over red shroud" stuff.... I shudder to think of what they will in a future one. "Go find 24 globes?" No thanks.

Yep, Smash every Jar and anything else I could break .. Resources were good, BUT THE REWARDS sucked ... even the hidden ones in those special hiding spots, behind walls in the ceiling and under debris ( that part made it .. JUST A waste of Time ).

But Like I said still Love the Game, can't wait to see what Kind of ending they are planning ... just hope the LOOT gets Better and Rewarding for the time spent.

I watched a Youtuber .. show off the Legendary stuff he got from the Hollow Halls and Asked HOW many times and How Long it took ... BUT Never got a response on the question: I personally never saw anything above the 1 rare item "which was lower than my current gear" and most were common trash.

all the loot found is a waste of time currently. the loot system is rng rubbish and needs a complete redesign. until this is done no single dungeon addition will offers a worthwhile reward.

i said it before and ill say it again : they should get rid of rng based finished gear drops and push the designs into thier elaborate crafting system and just make the rng drop rare materials required to craft the items in question. and spreading these materials to specific sources (not everything from 1 type of chest like now) like this drops from this boss/enemy and this drops from this type of chest or this type of ore vein etc. then make these rare drops RNG.

now you have a system that works intertwined with each other and you encourage players to go out and actually play the game instead of resetting and you also make different targets worth chaseing and killing unlike now where every boss in each has the same boring rng loot table.

the current system IS trash. itll never be good the way it is. and thus as a result any new content relying on this old system will automatically be NOT WORTH DOING gameplay wise.

yet devs seem sadly to not care about this. its not even part of the roadmap nor is it on the wishlist because fancy graphics and other gameplay wise fully irrelevant features are given priority.

if this system isnt addressed by next year this game will fade away and bleed player wise out over time sadly. seen this too many times. if you dont reward player efforts approximitly in such games players stop playing sooner or later.

and this is on top of all the other problems this game still has currently.

will see if these devs are capable of getting this under control or not.

Hollow halls are too difficult for what you get. Which is my case has only ever been better ammo. Blame all the people who said the game was too easy.
