Hallowed Halls swarm.....Why
I found it strange that the answer to making the game harder was to pack the hallowed Halls full of enemies. it doesn't make the combat any harder/challenging or more interesting, it only causes the players to get swarmed by the same AI mobs as before. Usually if you want to take them on then you need to be over leveled but that makes the loot of the halls pointless.

I'm hoping they eventually get around to improving the AI and replace the swarm of enemies with something else. Maybe less enemies and a boss or two with some interesting mechanics would be fun for a group of players to run into at various points in the halls and have to take down to continue to the treasure.

by the time you reach the 3rd level of hallowed halls you want to me level 25 and have decent gear. This is not about going in there at level 20 or less and complaining you can't complete it. Not that you are doing that. The hallows are tough, really tough and anyone saying that are not, well do the math. Expect to spend at least 2 to 3 hours in there unless you just run and jump and get through it. If you want to find the secret doors, the recipes and make the most of your adventure it is going to take time. Don't go to the halllows until you are level 25 and have great gear and supplies. Do the grind, build, grow, create all the things you need for a successful quest. Don't just try to get through the game as quick as you can. Work for it.

Dark Souls 2's SOFS team made the same mistake, but the combat there is much better than in Enshrouded.

this carbon guy is a troll. Go away and have fun playing your broken game. stop advising us that this broken game is fun, if we only play it your way.

Sounds like a big skill issue on OPs side tbh

I wouldn't hold my breath on this one. If the developer actually appreciated that the enemy AI is the problem, their solution wouldn't be to swarm us with enemies, or nerf the player in other ways to make the game harder. They would be working on the AI. The fact they are just nerfing and swarming suggests they don't intend to fix the real problem.

Really starting to lose interest in this game over here. It has great potential, but I see a development team that either doesn't desire, or doesn't know how, to do what is necessary to make the game truly great.

Well just spent 4 hours in Revel Wood Hollow Hall. Thought it was never going to end. The room with the spitter flowers, rats and spiders is broken. Spent 2 hours in there trying to find the 8th symbol to unlock the darn door. Even restarted it.

The slide was easy enough, just jump when you see a hole. Don't know what the fuss is about on that one. though the should have the tomb stone show up at the top if you do die. Like it does in the rest of the game. They need to fix these areas for people.

Bad enough they have to have double grapples every where. I can't do those. I'm 100% disabled and my hands won't let me do them. But at least there is a way around that in this one dungeon. I finally just had to pick my way through. Hope they don't fix it so you can't or this hall will be unplayable for me.

I have over 650 hours in this game and glad they added the new content though don't think i will be able to do the other two halls. Wished they had not nerf the rings to death they are totally useless now. All they needed to do was make it so you couldn't stack the ring.

All this did was make it so you had to specialize more into one type of build, And me I like to be more rounded in my build sort of a jack of all trades. Can't do it in these halls.

They still have a lot of balancing to do in these halls especially with the loot. Common and uncommon just won't do especially after spending that amount of time in this hall. Not one weapon worth all that effort. Twigs, water and a few potions is mostly what I got out of this though did do some mining of the toxic stuff and the other mats,

What they don't seem to get is, when you spend that amount of time doing one of these you should at least get something decent for doing it.

And they need to fix it so the halls that you have already cleared don't re-spawn and you can save at least at the markers. They shouldn't re-spawn till you restart the game. Don't think they thought this through.

The first hall was pretty easy once you figured out the best way to do it.

And that Alden NPC is just plain creepy. Won't have that father death in the main house LOL
Made him his own little crypt out by the back wall.

youre pretty much one of the sub 5% that dont enjoy the game. What about moving on and spreading your negativity somewhere else?

That´s exactly the reason why I didn´t even bother testing the new update and rather keep playing Elden Ring.

I wanted more mechanical depth and variety to the combat as well as better balancing and what did we get get? Halls full of enemies..I was shocked when I saw that in the trailer and was instantly turned off. No reason to even test this nonsense.

That´s not what I want in a game. Quantity over quality is never good. It´s just lazy and cheesy.

No he is spot on. How about you stop telling people to not post their opinion. Everyone is entitled to post what he thinks not just the ones who praise the devs.

First dungeon was a decent length but then the second just seemed to go on for ever.

The massive rooms had mud and rats with those glowy runes in each corner so most of the time spent there was moving from one side to another. The green goop nukes ALL your stam instantly if the game thinks you touched it and if its around the top of a hole the dot will prevent regen long enough that you can't glide and die a very cheap death. The huge waves of whats seems like 20-30 skellies all come at once within the narrower corridors rather than the large arenas and share aggro, not especially fun.

Swingy puzzles are ok but by the time you reach them a lot of time has passed so I can see that anyone with around 30 minutes of rested will have lost that stamina boost. Even those with an hour of rested who found the shortcuts to the door buttons would be running out by the time they meet the boss assuming no cheap death by goop hole as found on the second slide.

Going to have to wait until the weekend for the third hall as I'm fairly sure I simply won't have the time to run it in a single sitting.

Well Fromsoft didn´t stuff 100 mobs into one room and called it a day.

I really Love this Game, but reading from different sites, it's clear that the new Dungeons need a Lot of Work from the dev's.
So, Not Sure about the 5%.

I have soloed three of the hollows, and not found them particularly hard, just a bit too long. Hoards of mobs is no big deal, I have a heal on crit thing, so just need to pay a little attention to succeed, plenty of places to repair gear if you look for them. The cyclops boss is simple enough, just a lot of HP.
What I didn't like was the length of time without saves, the third hall was tedious finding what 18? glow balls. Jeez. It just took forever, and the reward did not justify the effort.
Odium Apr 3, 2024 @ 3:13pm
the one that got me was the locked door on the the other side of a hall with a slimy downhill that you cant go back up once you slip. I just wanted to get a close look and now if I want to know what was behind that door I gotta run the dungeon to that point again
