Ectoplasm Press

So got the skull to create the press and did so. Journal has not updated and completed though I have created and placed the press. Anyone else run into this?

Not exactly related, but I did the Hallowed Halls quest line with a friend in their world. Coming back to mine and trying to do the first quest, there seems to be a bug where the quest doesn't update after getting to the Springlands Hallowed Halls. Even after going through the entire thing and putting the new NPC into my base.

I guess the quest progression is bugged. :/

I have exactly the same problem. I even built the press twice.

Same here - built the press twice - remade the key several times. It will not progress beyond finding the Hollow Halls Revelwood location.

How far are you in your game ? Can it be you need to finish another NPCs quest or need more progress exploring the map?
But if you're already in late game and still don't get the quest, then it can help to invite another player into your world and let him place the Ectoplasm Press and talk to the NPC.
In case you have several chars, you can also try it just with another char. ( worked for me several times when I got similar issues with some quests)

i am now experiencing this glitch. ran revelwood hollow halls twice now. killed everything that moved. as far as i know i got all the chests, hidden recipes, and killed the end boss twice over. built 3 press' and it still says "enter revelwood hollow halls." i looked at journal entry and it says to make my way to the end and kill the one-eyed monster at the end to get all the recipes. i even was able to get the key recipe for kindlewaste highlands hollow halls and beat it. alas, i am still showing "enter revelwood hollow halls." did i miss anything at the end like a hidden chest after the boss but near the golden chest?

yeah same issue for me too, I've done Revelwood Hollows 3 times now and it still says in the quest to do the hollows. I have made the station hoping it would update the quest but nothing.

Well boys, looks like it's not going to get fixed as I am still in the same boat. Have done it multiple times as well and nothing. They should be able to patch this and fix this for those who have already created the press.

This just happened to me as well.

Quest still in journal, never updated. Able to make the ectoplasm press just fine.

Issue seemed to be caused by the one-eyed boss mob not being noted by quest as having been killed.
