Cannot complete quest The Ancient Spires

I have the quest to go to The Ancient Spires but I cannot complete it. I cannot commune with the flame as seen in the third screenshot. I have completed it on another world but just not this one.

Is it the same character, or a new character? You only do it once per character, regardless of world, I think

Same character.
How am I supposed to get the fast travel there now then?

Did you type E to commune with the flame? Getting to the top isn't enough - it's like with the cinder vault - you click on the flame (I've logged out without doing this on a spire before now). Just climb it again and make sure to 'commune with the flame'. You nthen need to talk to the blacksmith who will tell you it's done. Just check, when you log in next, that it's still missing. Is the blacksmith still asking you to do it?

In the third screenshot I am standing at the flame and there is no option to commune with the flame. I still have the quest, it is incomplete.

i'm having the same issue. completed it in another world play with friends but the commune with flame option doesnt show up on my personal world game and now i cant use that tower as a fast travel point. i took a flame alter with me in order to "fast travel" to/from at the base of the tower, outside the tower build area. such a pain in my ass that its glitched out in my personal world game.

After completing them in a mulitplayer game, I could not do them in a solo game UNTIL I added another new toon to my solo game.

I'm having the same issue. No option to interact with the flame and I can't seem to progress to the farmer quest, etc. without completing this quest! And yes, I have removed all custom waypoints, restarted, went up at least 6 times.

I ended up making a new character and went up the spire with her on that world and that fixed the issue for my other character.

same problem with revelwood spire.. As well as the quest "Reclaim the Wilderness " from farmer that requires i get to the top of the spire....quest not updating and spire wont let me commune with top flame alter to open it as a recall point...yes i have been on mutip[layer servers and yes i have completed it before on said servers...im told to fix this i need to get a second toon that has not completed it into the world to complete it...how? i cant log in 2 toons at the same time...if i find someone to log in with a fresh toon...do they need to be beside me when i get to the top or just in the world? getting a low lvl there and to the top would be a pain....either way...its not a FIX...its a work around....a silly bug like this needs to be fixed

you need new character for each world you play otherwise such things will happen with spires crypts roots etc.
Game consider achievments like climbing spire or destroying root for character not for world ,so they wont b eregistered on any other world you will play with this character.

I know I'm super late for this but we were having issues trying to complete this quest. Once you get to the top and you unlock the fast travel for the shrine, fast travel to it and you should be able to commune with the flame. It worked for us finally 😅
