Can't get any comfort level in base

Anyone know if it is a bug or something? Can not seem to get comfort level box to check even in the my own base.

Probably not. This could explain his problems.

Before sitting does building count as sheltered?
Is there only one flame supporting the build area?
Does moving around the room change the stats?

For example on my sheltered porch i have comfort 5, but if i go through the door into a proper room its 39.

Also as an aside if you use a slightly different link address format it displays it in post.

As long as your inside a structure of some kind with a roof it counts as sheltered. You can see this when exploring through the map where you have to go inside somewhere.

Is that picture your porch? If yes, you are only getting the benefit from the flame altar and and any comfort providing items on the porch. As your flame is not in the room and it sounds like you have much more comfort items in the room, you are only getting the benefit of what's in the room.

The music note beside the comfort box might be the problem. Did you try to get rid of that? (How did you get it in the first place? Did you play an instrument?)

EDIT: Alright just tried also using an instrument (getting you up to 2 comfort level higher than your normal surroundings would give, maybe in multiplayer even more). and for me it was working fine. Maybe it's a problem with the drums.

OP it looks like you are not in shelter, its the 1 thing thats not ticked on your confort list. Try making a small room with roof on?

He is sitting near a flame altar. The flame altar gives warmth and 5 comfort - even without walls. The picture shows no comfort at all. There is something wrong ...

I can get the flame and comfort level to show, but wont check so that it actually refreshes or recharge.

Practically same thing, but it is working for first log in and in the location. As far as leaving, traveling around, dying. Then coming back to try and renew or refresh the comfort buff is where it don't work.

Apparently this has been changed. Meanwhile I have the same comfort level in each room.

OK so I was trying to a way to reproduce this condition (unchecked comfort box) and only way I can get it at base flame shrine is with a wolf but that gives the Enemies Nearby message next to that box.

However there's a campfire past the well in Longkeep that lights up when you approach, gives the warmth checkbox, sitting by it checks the first box (sitting /sleeping/sheltered) and leaves the comfort box unchecked and flashing.

Lying in the bed gave sleeping and for a moment I got 1 comfort and rested started but comfort unchecked after less than a second.
Moving around between the fireplace and bed on the small wall I got sheltered which kept the 1 comfort. Using the tambourine/drum thing you used It went to 3 comfort still checked.

I'm not sure why your not getting comfort checkbox at just flameshrine and sitting but next time it happens, built any sort of shelter near the flame to get sheltered instead of sitting/sleeping and see if it still remains unchecked.
