We can't see at night, and daylight is like a flashbang
Its a bit too much no ? Would be nice to reduce the daylight brightness, it look like the game got a very weird filter all the time...

Night to be dark is great, just sleep or use a torch or have a glowing weapon or wand ready.
Too bright day must be your monitor setting. I never encountered this.

Nope. I'm affected, too. I don't see why literally all of my games don't need a brightness adjustment but Enshrouded does. There were tons of people complaining about that on EA Release on Twitch, too.

So, I don't see that as a "your problem" thing. Just startet up the game after the patch and (I might be wrong) it looks even brighter. Holy Moly.

and just for the sake of showing how bright the game can be (yes, I know. don't look into the sun, dummy.):

I think the dark night is great - this is one of the first games where you actually need a light source.

The sun on the other hand is just too much - my eyes actually hurt at times and its also pretty annoying if you have a cave or bigger windows - its not just unrealistic - its seriously annoying.

It looks normal once you are outside - but the effect when indoors and looking outside in the direction of the sun is just absurd - the effect when going from dark to light is also way too much - its actually physically unpleasant (my eyes actually hurt (got a rather big screen with good contrast and brightness)).

Please just give us a slider - thanks.

When you go inside and look outside its like the meme when the guys take a flashbang

Please don't change the pitch-dark nights as a standard, is my only request. A slider is something I'm not opposed to though.

The lighting may be a problem with their engine, not sure though :)
Also if they lower the brightness during day it may cause the shroud to become even harder to see and navigate in, but I agree it needs some work, especially when going outside from a house, however I am not so sure that a slider will just magically fix these issues.

I have stopped playing because of the brightness. Its not my monitor settings and I have also tried filters.... still painfully bright!

i like the dark nights, how often i stumbled down stairs and got ambushed and died a miserable death.

I'd love to get into this game but the lighting seriously ruins it for me. Very baffling decision. Can't wait to start playing when it's finally fixed

It´s the bloom. We need to be able to disable this. It is what makes it so bright at times. I don´t think it will make it harder to see in the shroud once deactivated, rather the opposite.

Nighttime - There is no ambient light. No corner convenience stores, no passing traffic, nothing that we take for granted.

Daytime - Having spent some time "In the desert" (three deployments actually), I can tell you - when the sun is out, with no shade? Yeah, it's Bright AF.

While I do not agree, it is enough of an issue to enough people that an option should at least be considered.

I think the darkness of the night is fine, what needs to be adjusted is how it instantly goes from dusk to pitch black.
Rambler616 Feb 26, 2024 @ 5:02pm
Maybe introducing volumetric clouds to a small degree as far as thaqt goes, that might be a thing to implement to give the brightness a bit of downplay. I personally love the fact that this is probably the ONLY game where the sun's brightness is ACTUALLY how bright the sun should be. It's like real life lighting as the sun goes. Even in life though, when the sun is that bright, it's hard on the eyes.
How about a slot to carry a hip lantern or something similar.
