yet they slapped a nerf in that was absolutly unjustified in every way and screams "we have no clue what balance actually is everything is fine to us"
this sends very very wrong messages to the players dear devs.
while i can understand the fokus on the technical side of things tweaking or fixeing a few numbers is DEFINITLY something you can and SHOULD do at the side of doing this.
will leave the game behind for now too much other interreting stuff comeing the next few months but dear devs if you want this game to succeed longterm and not remain a gascloud release event like so many others you have to really step up patches and fixes and definitly balance and difficulty.
gl.
as is thinking that ballancing is just about tweaking numbers. it takes testing, itterating, failing, trying again....
if theres one thing I know, devs are never "lazy", it's not like they go to the office and do nothing for a day.
QQ... ? is that supposed to mean i am crying?
"questionably quizable"
"querulous quack"
I have tested this with one handed weapons but also wands and bows just out of curiosity.
These are the results:
Lvl 25 upgraded vs non upgraded weapon test

Upgrading your weapons is very well worth it and I would recommend doing so.
Yeah, I came to say this too. They're still very clearly working on big bugfixes - the CTDs, no launches, big glitching, stuttering, mem leaks, performance issues, etc. That's the time-consuming stuff. It's much easier for them to tweak stats for systems they know are (at least mostly) working.
Arguably they could just be doing bugfixes and stiff everyone on everything else, but this one's maybe not a big *content* update, but it's a big stability update. Content doesn't matter if people can't actually, ya know, play the game.
And they couldn't even fix the 60fps issue? Practically every other game I have played has no issues with going above 60fps. Oh, and by the way, I got lambasted for posting that the developers never responded to my bug report. Just got the reply today, over 2 weeks later. LMFAO.
I think their are to many people drinking the Twitch / YouTube cool-aid and not truly playing the game. Thanks for putting this out.
I am still baffled by the attitude of many many players across all platforms.
When it comes to making a game i am sure they think it is as easy as playing the damn game! No thought is actually given to how much work goes into a game to get things to work together and balanced correctly.
One new addition in the code or even a update fix can make other things that were fine go haywire so the added pressure of entitled whining demanding content and "fix it now!" behaviour just makes it worse especially during early access which is really just prolonged alpha/beta and 8 years for example is nothing out of the ordinary to make a game which speaks for itself in terms of the hours it takes to make.
I think that 80% of early access players have no clue what it means this kind of testing trial and error is the exact reason to be in EA in the first place and are supposed to be given constructive feedback so those 80% should never play EA because they are bad enough when a game comes out that has never been in EA let alone the added unneeded hassle of wading through the moaning to get to the actual helpful responses.
Now is the worse time to be a developer imo purely due to the attitude of some of the community which the rise of godawful social media (i saw it from the start) and it's toxic attitude is mostly at fault seeping into our gaming communities and taking over as opposed to pre social media when our gaming community was underground and respectful and what was never to be discussed online or in game never was and if an individual did it was shut down straight away and instantly irc chat kicked muted or perma banned from the chat simple (like mine together mod does now) it was called "being frowned upon" the unwritten rules of how we behaved (and still do some of us) the majority of players knew how to behave as opposed to the minority which has now switched places.
I hate the way people think they can speak and demand things from developers and expect the games tailored to them alone and some small devs find themselves pressured into ending up changing the game that much from the vision of THEIR game that it just becomes a mess and then ends up abandoned which they then receive even more abuse for it needs to stop but it won't because as i said it is now the majority acting this way and you will see by the blatant disrespect and childish respondent mockery i receive which i ignore like you would a naughty child acting up.
To be fair that's because 80% of companies misuse EA to do a full release and dodge criticism about bugs/missing features etc "its EA! you can't be mad yet".
It's always worrisome when you see a game that hasn't even released yet selling for 50-75% off.
