Boss reset while fighting them?
Has this happened to anybody? It happened with 3-4 different bosses now while them being much higher level than me and take a long time to kill.

The last was the most frustrating. I was level 25 and I was fighting a level 30 Fell Thunderbrute (or something like that, don't remember) and I used all my potions, all my spells, I had thrown everything at him and when he had about 1 or 2 % health left he stopped attacking me, turned around and ran to a corner, replenished 100%, re-targeted me and started to attack again. This happened about 6 times in a row with him, at least, but it also happened with other bosses.

This last one, I was really dedicated on killing it. I finally killed it but now I don't have any items left in my inventory and I have to re-craft everything, which will be a chore.

I know it can happen when a boss is stuck and can't target you or something similar like when you're perched somewhere and just shooting arrows. But with that Thunderbrute, I was actually melee-fighting it sword to sword combat. The fight was really intense and satisfying but then ruined by the many resets. I understand they can also reset when you die and come back, that's normal, but this isn't the case.

Yes this is indeed problematic at times. I once tried to kill one of those big guys at a shroud root with my archer and he would turn around and run around the next corner and be instantly full health again. That felt incredibly cheesy.

Maybe the devs should give those enemies some ranged attacks which they can use in case they can´t reach you so they don´t have to rely on insta heal cheese just because you were using the terrain to your advantage.

All mobs have a tether point. When you go beyond that point they retreat back to their assigned area and their health resets. It is one of THE most annoying mechanics but this is what is happening to you. You are likely, and unintentionally, just stepping out of tether range so the mobs says nevermind, and walks away.

That´s the whole point of ranged combat. Hitting the target while not being hit yourself. That´s why I suggested them having some sorts of ranged attacks to balance this.

If I want to go toe to toe with my opponents I use melee not a bow.

Yeah, that's what was frustrating, I wasn't hiding or "cheating" in any way. I was fighting it with my sword face to face and it was running like 5 feet away and restore 100% health in a millisecond and coming back towards me.

Sullear has it, I guess it's a tether and I was barely out of the "zone" or something.

I am experiencing this now its crap im a solo player and when i get two bosses at once and they are melee im like ok so i use the terrain or try to kite them and they just reset this is dogsh$t mechanic and super lazy. I am having a serious love hate relationship with this game, some stuff is so good and some stuff is such a sign the devs never played other games. Why do i get everything for linen in revelwood but have to go waaaaay out to the desert just to get bones for linen? why lock fighting armor tier 2 and so many things behind such a long distance yet give bosses and enemies at your level that can destroy half your health bar in one set of swings. But boss and health resetting is such utter garbage i cant stand this cheese. The bosses try to jump to where i am they cant they can hide do whatever all sorts of options but to just reset their health in an instant no mob should ever reset its health period.
