Unlocking crafting recipes by crafting other items

Please someone tell me how to tell which crafts unlock other crafting recipes

Is that even possible? The only way i know is to find the materials and then the recipe will show on the NPCs, but even then you will need something to make them like the tools you will only find in the highlevel areas the materials are found. tanning station and smith tools, that sort of thing.

Play the game, complete the quests, find the resources. There really isn't anything that gets crafted which will unlock something. Why play the game if you want to skip all the in between content?

That's part of a survival game, explore, find stuff, learn stuff, complete quests, defend yourself against in game enemies.

Completing quests, finding new resources, exploring and collecting everything. Not going to just hand you every recipe with no effort on your part. If you want that then play a game with creative mode or look up guides on how to unlock them.
