I am not sure yet, but I think the Ghost glider can be achieved pretty fast as soon you have the basic glider and grappling hook, some pickaxes, and as much stamina as possible, not sure yet, but I have an idea to get to the desert very fast, will see if it works and report back to this post if it does without too much spoiling
Ok, but feels a bit limited, perhaps a few more goals would be good :)
That is expected, but should also include a fresh character ;)
Also ok, no need to make things too easy.
Ok, will limit a lot of things and make it a longer grind in some ways
How are you supposed to remember which chests you already have looted 3 times?
Perhaps just make a rule with no loot chests at all except for the glider chest at the top of Sun Temple.
Not really sure if Beastmaster skill tree would offer much advantage in a speed run for the Ghostglider being as low level as possible, as I see it any points not spent in stamina would likely be a disadvantage, but ok :)
you have 2 flame altars.
mine enough stone or dirt and make a skybridge altering altars till you arrive right at the top of the suntower. no fighting needed. no gear needed.
in a gameworld where you have this kind of building freedom there just is no challenge to reach any area outside of the shroud.
it only takes some time. thats about it.
I won´t spoil it for you but I´ll say I didn´t build jumptowers. There is a way to get there without it. Good luck and have fun ;)
I can however make stairs from terrain to extend the height to jump of from when gliding with the basic glider, I am currently in Nomad Highland close to the desert being level 3, but fighting anything is completely out of the question, they will 1-shot me, so I run from everything while trying to find the best route towards the sun temple
All you need is a pickaxe and the basic starter glider.
I would love it if you could show just 1 of those guide that didn't break the above or any of the other rules of the challenge ;)
I did a youtube search and they all at some point make floating towers or bridges to get across the red shroud to the area of sun temple with glider and Kindlewaste spire, and as far as I can see there is only 1 place where you can get high enough to possibly glide across without dying with the basic glider, but I highly doubt it is possible at level 1, that I can tell you since you will need at least 2 skills (Updraft and Airborne) + a decent amount of stamina, and perhaps some of the wells in blue shroud around beginning area for extra skill points :)
Also if you check the image below, that is the only place that I have found where you can get enough altitude from ground to put an altar and make a jump tower to glide across:)
There is a path leading up from the deady shroud, it is the only low point that you may be able to reach.
EDIT: There is actually a small ledge slighty to the left of the above mentioned path from shroud that is possible to reach :)
Remember... The rules are: you cannot upgrade altars, you cannot use crafters, so you can only craft basic level 1 stuff, it may sound easy, but it most definitely isn't

Tunnel from the left marker to the excavation site, then three placed flame altars (the same one moved) across the shroud using the bits of land there. Then a tunnel to the top.
The last leap
Here is a small description how I got there from Nomad Highlands... spoiler ahead in case someone likes to do this challenge without hints to how I did it:
I went through Brittlebush crossing the bridge north of it, I could have gone further north up into the mountains north and passed through there, but I decided to take the faster and more dangerous route through Brittlebush.
After that it was an easy run until I reached the closest peak towards the big red shroud that needed to be crossed.
I had initially grabbed the 3 skill points from the the wells in starter area that is in blue shroud, those 9 skill points helped a lot along with those I got up to level 3, I could spec into
Updraft and Airborne + put a few points into Endurance and Spirit so that I had a decent amount of stamina and mana for updraft at least 2 times during the flight.
And being in the desert I got access to grilled and raw Yucca fruit which are absolutely awesome for stamina and a bit of health regen, also Grapple plant from Rose Shell Burrow give an amazing 5 spirit.
The first time I succesfully glided over the shroud and landed on a small ledge to the left of the path going uo from shroud, I had forgotten to remove one of my flame altars, so I had to go back and remove a flame altar.
The next time I did something different, I drank a shroud elixir to boost shroud time and aimed for the path instead.
On both trips I had to use updraft 2 times, and on the 2nd trip landing in the shroud close to the path up, the shroud elixir helped get run up the path before dying, and well the rest is kind straight forward, I did unlock the Kindlewaste spire, but I doubt it was necessary
Anyways I finished the challenge being level 4, I had hoped that I could have finished it at level 3, but it doesn't really matter, I had fun with this challenge, especially since I believe the best weapon I had was Epic level 7, everything else including armor was basic stuff that you can craft from level 1
It may sound easy and simple to some, but it most definitely isn't unless they are making floating bridges all the way or over all deadly shroud - Thank you for putting this fun challenge together, I had fun doing it, maybe others will too :)
The rules and description for the challenge is nice and simple, but it should state that all flame altars must be connected to terrain so that you cannot simply build your way moving 1 flame altar in front of the other while building in air :)

I'm really glad you had fun! I'll see if I can edit the original rules to include that the altars should be on solid ground. :)
