Honey issues (respawn even without beehive)

found a strange bug today
ive prepared a place for a basic settlement and removed trees and stones
2 trees had beehives on them so i removed it all and then logged out to build the structures the next day

so i logged back in to start building and noticed that honey and wax magically appear on the places where the 2 trees once growed

can everyone confirm this issue? i think this might cauase big trouble when that stuff accumulates over time

Not beehives, but i have some farmsoil with plants which i planted myself once. They reappear after every restart.

I red someone had the theory that this has to do with upgrading the flame altar. Maybe also when placing one?

Did you remove the beehives before or after you placed the flame altar? I'd guess flame altar first?

removed the beehives and trees first. now every time i log in i find the honey and wax laying on top of a wall and next to the house

I definitely have tomatoes and sage that respawn every time my dedicated server restarts. Not the worst thing to happen but they are also halfway underground so I have to dig them up to harvest them.

Can confirm this. I found this after altar upgrade. I've actually dug a kind of cave cause the honey + wax falls below ground Only found them when removing a building piece.

Have looted 40 honey + 40 wax in one go from 1 of those (have a second one btw) - I just say tyvm + continue on my merrry way. My theory is if it is a helpful bug let it be I'm sure the devs have enough to do with bugs that hinder progress let the good ones remain

This is because bees are hostile npcs which don't spawn in altar zones. I have this in my start altar too, Good to know that if u don't pick it regularly the game will bug out, While it is enjoyable to have the free resource, i think it only need to be fixed that loot will not spawn when the enemies can not spawn.
The tree in my zone had 3 hives and everytime i log in there is 3 wax and 3 honey, i can see how that can get problematic fast.

Can confirm. I ran into the same bug. Tree and hive was gone but honey and beewax kept accumulating on the ground.

Ok, can again confirm. We also had a tree with a bee hive in build range. Just never looked there again after we cut down the tree. There is also a ton of wax and honey on the ground. *lol*

Yeah keep cleaning those honeys and wax or they will crash your game, some players reported 1000s of them on the floor as the reason for their games to CTD.

as a side note: i had some honey and wax respawn twice - once on loading in and a second drop if i leave the base and come back (had 3 hives removed and one drops another set of wax and honey)
i think this issue must be fixed

I've had this exact same issue. Built a home too close to a tree with 2 hives in it. Couldn't swing my sword to get the hives down, so used an arrow instead. Now I get free honey and wax every time I visit that base. Awesome!
