There are (or is) Lore-related reasons why the world is so empty.
You may be max level and max equip but you missed the whole game.
The "lava" is actually water turn deadly (in shroud) cause standing in it outside the shroud only reduce your shroud time.
There is no "body of water" anywhere because they are all "lava" (which is funny that people want to have water in game) the only source is wells and drops.
Lots of people died due to the shroud :( or mutate
Yes i have, and i very much liked the way how to get the NPC`s in my base and operate them to upgrade gear and aquire mats. I am talking about NPC`s in the wild. Hostile ones that spawn or come from the ground that attack your base. a bit like the Valheim events. In the kindle wastes Huge Sandworms that survived just to name a few...
Yeah, that would be cool. Having to defend your base ( or this being an option if you so wish ). That would give some purpose to the castles people build.
There is a point (multiple actually), near the Eldemere Dam, as well as the Pike, where you can look North, and not only is there The Shroud, it's red at Level 6 Flame Shrine.
Not just patches, but huge swathes of The Shroud.
:Before anyone says play with friends, mine don't like sandbox/ survival games. usually play them by myself.:
Fungus cannot survive in the freezing temps up north so, there might be life there, i hope.
