Skill Points - Shroud Roots / Elixir Wells
When completing these, do ALL players online/offline receive the benefit whom are not within the "kill zone", as it were, when the roots are destroyed?

Or do they have to be present and atleast inflict damage to receive the benefit? Since as far as I can tell, a quests are tied to the world save, not the player. So im leaning on that, atleast for the player, that clear the first Elixir well, they cant hop into a random game and kill the same well repeatedly to max out stat points?

The Points for Shroud Roots are not tied to a world save, they are tied to the player. Only the player who destroys a Shroud Root will get the point. He can not get it again with this same Shroud Root, also not in another world. So he can't use it to max out stat points.

So, every player has to destroy the Shroud Roots, it gets marked on the map, and this also carries over to other worlds. In case players don't have an own solo world, they can also just wait a bit, until the Shroud Root respawns and then destroy it again.

That's not true, not sure why you would even say that.
On my server any player that is part of the fight or touched the thing while it was being cut down gets the skillpoint.
It's not very well explained and I'm with OP in that we need a better clarification of it.
Sometimes a player is super close but not quite right next to the thing and do not get skillpoints.

Ah, ok. Then just you need to be close enough to the Root ? I didn't know it'll work then, thx for clarifying. I only figured that I don't get the points when someone killed a shroud root far away and later I could just return there and destroy it again.

Also after reaching max level and collecting all roots you can have 114 tallents.
114 is max you can get in current patch.
