Frustrated

I have been trying to get the Farmer. I have plenty of stamina. I hit <E> Jump <E> and land one level too low. I do have some problems with my hands due to injury and have used gaming as a means of physical therapy for many years. But I just can not seem to land on the upper floor. I wish this game had two options one being the grapple hook and maybe the second being a very hard battle through a very large mob. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I doubled grappled somewhere earlier but this one has me frustrated and feeling hopeless. Thanks

Hm, I think to get the farmer I needed my rested buff back. I put a fire on the ground and sit down. Also consumed some water and honey.

I'm terribly sorry but i don't think i quite get the issue.

I think you are saying you are having trouble to get up to a spot...
If you are trying to go up, then i recommend use the rake with the pick.
use the pick on a spot, then the rake to level it from that spot so you can jump there.
You can also drop a flame shrine too if you have the ability.

I was need to have that before i could swing over also, so yea, that need top be upgraded

You don´t need an upgrade for your hook to get the farmer. It´s possible without that.

You can come around the back and get up on the roof and come in to the upper floor if you are having trouble with the double grappling hook.

Enshrouded does an amazing thing by having lots of options to get past difficult spots. As mentioned the rake and pickaxe can allow you to build ramps, mounds, platforms, paths up steep cliffs and ledges, etc. The kite/glider allows you to search for a higher spot and then fly down to your point of destination. The grapple, grapple point and altar allow you to create safe spots and escape routes before you tackle the dangerous parts. With all these tools, Enshrouded really changed how I approach a quest or dungeon or outpost. The biggest tip I could give a new player is to always stop and take a moment to think out of the box. What is a creative approach to tackling this challenge? For me "inventing" my way in is much more satisfying and fun than bashing my way in with a sword and shield. : )

Thanks all for your answers. No I have not upgraded my hook yet. I did make the Stamina Armor from the Hunter. I wear 2 Stamina rings. I eat Honey I just think my hand eye coordination might be a fraction of a second slow. I have considered inviting someone but do not know a good way to put the invite out. As far as rake and ramps, I do not believe I am able to alter the inside of this site. I doesn't allow building a Flame anywhere near it. I am open if anyone wants to make the double jump for me. I have fast travel right outside so it would be a quick trip. Thanks to all again. Appreciate all of your in sights.

I have noticed that sometimes it feels like the game doesn't register key presses. I was in an ancient spire earlier this evening, one that had a double grapple and I couldn't, for the life of me, make the gap. I have like 2.5 bars of stamina, and the upgraded grapple. My buddy got over it in one go, so I honestly think its just not registering the key press. It's also very noticeable with the parry and block, unless I'm stupid and not understanding how exactly it works.

I absolutely feel your pain. I've had several jumps I was not able to make, because my hand eye coordination isn't that good anymore (in all honesty - it never was). Fortunately I play with my husband who can make these jumps I can't and then can look for another way up for me from above.
I am certain husband would be happy to help you, too, but unfortunately he has just left for work. But I an sure that someone else here in the forum is going to offer their help soon. Until then, don't give up and know that you are not alone! These jump and run moments of the game frustrate me so much sometimes...

having read this post while having somewhat same issues (injury, coordination and not being geared, Im going to try walking around the rooftops. will let you know if i succeed and maybe I can help you next.

I also had problems with the farmer's wife at the beginning. If you want to jump over the abyss at the top, you have to press "E" to grab the hook. Then be sure to press the "space bar" to release in time, this is the only way you can press "E" again for the second hook. This takes a bit of practice at the beginning, but it quickly becomes routine.

At some places, the Hook is really weird. I remember that one Altar, where you have to swing over the electric shots to a Higher Plattform. You literally have to Jump exact right so you have enough momentum to get to the Higher Platform via Hook.

Double Jump makes the Hook so much more easy. Would recommend this. Otherwise, yeah, try to get Help.
No reason to burn yourself Out over weird mechanics xx. Thank goodness, there are not many of These weird Hook positions. Most are really straight Forward.

I'm terrible at platforming. There are other grapple and swing to those wall lattices I couldn't get til I repecced to all stam and that updraft.
