I like the options provided because character creation is not the main hinge of any game, if it is your priorities are weird.

We only have the presets to date. I don't know if there will be build options later.

ngl i would love more options because i love how they have treated the characters to date (visually) But at the same time for me, it doesn't actually matter outside of differentiating yourself from people you play with.

I would Love a more diverse Charakter creation. Like you say, it's already in the Game, why not enhance it?

For me a Personal Charakter is so much more immersive. Esspecially in the RPG Style of this Game. Like, for this Style of Game, No charaktercreation Had make Zero Sense to me. And a bit more could Always make Things better.

Character creation and customization is a pretty big thing in an rpg there definitely needs to be an improvement in that area of the game, but just because we criticize one part of the game doesn't mean we don't like the game or it's mechanics. These are completely valid criticisms and should not be shot down.

It is fine that you don't care, it is also not a big deal to me either, I can live without, but calling people weird for wanting it in a rpg game where it is usually a normal thing is perhaps even more weird.
It is not an unreasonable request and if it doesn't rock your boat then just accept their opinion isn't yours, no need to talk down to people for wanting something different than you ;)
