Daggers are melee-weapons, so
- do all melee-related perks apply to daggers too ?
- daggers count as 1H-weapons (I suppose) so do all 1H-perks apply to daggers ?
Wiki seems incomplete or outdated and does not give any information on these parts.
I was seeing around 30-40 damage with both weapons with standard attacks. The club was generally a bit higher, but it also has a bit higher base damage. A double-jump-slam seemed to do about double for the club. That was the only thing that seemed significantly different.
Not a scientific study, and may be completely flawed, but it seems to suggest that daggers do at least get most melee-related bonuses.
I've also used daggers extensively, and didn't realize that they benefited from dexterity. They generally do less damage, but their base damage tends to be significantly less as well, so, based on that, I think it aligns with the assumption that most melee bonuses do apply.
FWIW, I have always gotten the glowing hands with daggers as well, which I think is a short burst of additional damage after you kill something with melee.
I have played as a ranger a lot, daggers do little damage going all dexterity, they are more like finishers after some bow shots, but the parry and merciless strike work wonders to counter the low damage, so invest on those skills and you should kill those pesky shield wearers more quickly.
