Loot is BORING!!!!
I'm 96 hours into Enshrouded and if I open one more chest with nothing but a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ grenade in it, I'm going to go drown myself in the Shroud lol

The loot table is a mile wide and a centimeter deep. What good is "tin Ingot x 1" ?? Picking up a single ingot of anything is a waste of time and inventory space. You cant get ♥♥♥♥ done at base with ONE of anything. How about popping a container to find: " Iron ingot x 10, Copper arrows x 15, grenade x 3, shroud potion x 2" ect???? How about some incentive to look for chests? I just sigh every time I see one.

Yeah could be better, lets hope the final release gives us more diversity, they should add more for sure, i mean, we have only 1/3 of the map, or was it 2/3, well lets hope they add some form of enchantment for us to change the weapons and armor stats too, should make for some fun builds.

So basically still useless.
If i need iron, i go mining iron. 15 arrows are basically nothing. Grenades are pointless in later game, and shroud potions i usually delete, once i notice while unloading the chest with shroud potions is already full. *lol*

The most valuable stuff i find in "endgame" (of current content) are health and mana potions. And they are just valuable because they are anoying to craft.

Even armor and weapons from gold chests.... most times i have them already including additional spare parts.

A grenade and some belly button lint, its perfect

If you're getting x10 ingots in chests, then there's no incentive to mine and smelt at all.. I would say that there are too many chests in the world for how shallow it's loot pool is, but it is still early access, and a lot better fleshed out that a lot of freshly released early access games.
This just sounds like my complaints about loot in every game. At least reaching the loot is usually interesting in this.

I like the loot - maybe more variety would be nice - maybe random stats for gear to some extent and better versions of every skin. Thats a that i think could improve the game a lot with not much work - for example just have every sword drop on every level with random stats that are +-20% of normal stats. Maybe some color variants.

But in the end - what do you expect - so you got bored after 96 hours into a EA game that isnt an MMO with 30% of the map present limited to level 25 ...

You can just go to the end game areas, camp the repawning chests and get the best loot in the game.

You can also just pay someone to play the game for you or simply go to another server and let someone give you all items. You can also level to max level by only mining and then play the game in easy mode.

Or join a group and let them play for you.

Havent gotten too far into the game, but reading this, and i belive it, i decided to put the game off until some major patches. The combat to me and my wife is EXTREMLY easy, all enemies can be cheesed by simple kiting mechanics, its too simple. The only enemies that get us are ranged ones we dont see, but even they can be cheesed by simply walking left and right spamming ranged attacks.

The loot...yeah...this game needs work, ALOT of it, there is cheese everywhere. I dont use the log in and out to force chests to spawn, but the fact that its possible is also a major issue.

Like alot of games, potential is there, but they missed the mark and have their work cut out for them. Playing EA games is very much a "at your own risk" kidna deal, i did it with Valheim and LOVED it....but now im done with it, will never touch it again.

V Rising managed to get me back and im currently doing that with the wife, it just has a better progression overall, and with the modern camera mod, its basicly perfect.

Keeping an eye on this, but as of right now, im not risking meeting these issues in game, as i really want this game to become what i hope it will be. If i keep going, ill be burnt out and never touch it again.

Combat does get "tougher", but if you have decent gear, or height, a lot can be "cheesed". You don't have to "cheese" chests.

Loot is a very hard to thing to balance right and you cannot satisfy everyone :)
One of the biggest problems with loot is that if you get too many resources then it can easily make harvesting of same resources redundant.
Also while many players like that they can loot a lot of different containers having a variety in different things, it can quickly fill your inventory and make it a sorting hell figuring out what to drop and keep.
Loot seems to work the best when it contains things that you cannot get in any other way, then it will feel more special + it won't compete with harvesting same resources.
I have seen far too many examples of loot getting a buff where it suddenly became the better option, Conan Exiles recently buffed their loot table making a lot of harvestable resources redundant and pretty much destroyed a lot of their crafting, this is something you really don't want to do in a survival game where there usually is a heavy focus on harvesting, gathering & crafting.

Personally I find the loot in Enshrouded interesting enough while not ruining harvesting and gathering... for the most part, there are some things where looting is easier and even better than harvesting and crafting, just take a look at armor and weapons, most people quickly stop using crafted versions of those.

Yeah higher lvl zones needs to mirror rewards vs time. We also need decent legendaries armors

Simulators are the latest craze. It's what this game is. Loot Chest Simulator.

Finding arrows on archers be nice .
Dont think it will stop you from harvesting branches since 0ther items need it for crafting .

But mob drops should equal to what they use somewhat .
As for chest i hate when they add lvl limit to the item same as the player .
If i open a chest if the item is lvl 20 and i am 12 then i can not use it yet .

I will just wait till i am higher .
To many games have this issue , just make the rng % for lvl harder .
