Red Shroud

I can't figure out how to change the red shrouds to white.
I put a flame altar close by a red shroud, and upgraded it to lvl 3. That did not change the nearby red shroud, to white.
Is there a distance thing, between the shroud and your altar?
I'm missing something....obviously.

Need a higher flame level not altar level. Altar level is only for expanding the size of your build zone. Flame level increases your passage ways into shrouds.

And to add to that it doesn´t matter where on your map you flame altar is, it affects the whole map.

You have to imagine the red shroud works in like tiers so when you upgrade the flame level some red shroud areas become normal shroud but others may still not and require an even higher flame level of your altar.

Here's a hint for Amber.. it is in a Shroud area only. And from what you have said about the Wyvern, it should be the highest level shroud area that you DO have access to already,

Pro-tip: Your Flame Altar can be max (Level 6) and there will still be Red Shroud w/in the EA area.

Not that I ran into any "Deadly Shroud" or anything. (Cough)
