When in the shroud and you get yourself into a difficult situation, you can just return to the main menu and reload the world.
Yes!! Bedrolls would be amazing, also with the ability to sleep without a roof. I know you could just mine out a little cave or something, but I don't understand why some games are insistent on having *shelter* when it's a perfectly fine night. Having a plank of wood over your head wouldn't exactly make much of a difference irl! :p
